Yes, they should have. A lot of things were better about series 7 and those before it. Then the producers started having stupid ideas...

It was to poor taste.

Congratulations to Harry though.

Im genuinely upset that Chelsee didnt even get 30 seconds to say her thankyou's.

Simple explanation, the show was probably over-running, so they didn't bother.
The fact that Chelsee probably helped the viewing figures considerably, would have been unimportant to the BBC at the end.

Wouldn't that be "Fank you, Fank you?"

The same happened last year as well.

Because I knew who had won it before seeing it (saw both shows today instead of Live yesterday) i think maybe the suspense of finding out who won and then the feeling after of know who the winner and runner up was directly didn't come to me. So, while I prob would have thought it was a tiny bit selfish of Mcfly to run up and hog precious few seconds of the show if I had watched it live yest, this morning, I don't really feel it having watched it all in the full knowledge of what was going to happen before it did (if that makes sense).

I have noticed on other thread that apparently last year it was the same when Matt came runner up and barely got a word in, so maybe the Mcfly boys 'issue' isn't really an issue? Or have runners up in previous years before that got a final word in and it was just last year (for lack of time) that it happend.. (and then again with this)?

Either way, Chelsee has done well and she should not feel sad for not winning. She's been a joy this series.

Why was Zoe Ball invited to Blackpool? I though she would be doing something but she was nowhere to be seen so I presume it ws a freebie on the BBC (licence payer).

There should have been ten mins of "The Ball" interviewing the final two.

Because she presented an hour-long live It Takes Two from there on Friday.

Its a shame would liked her to have a chance to say her thanks and congrtulations. But had more of a problem with Tess practicly booting her off the dance floor. But then the bbc do have a habit of treating runners up a bit shoddily. As anyone who watches the Andrew Lloyd Webber talent shows will know. Runners up on those get a "boo hoo you lost, see ya" from Graham Norton then they are booted off without getting to speak

If that is the case then I think it was poor of BBC not to schedule some reaction time for the celebrities. What do they expect? That they announce HA are the winners and everyone stands/sits polite and calm in their place, waiting for Bruce and Tess to proceed to interview the winners and runners up?!

I agree with Kez100 that they leave the result for too late in the show. I know the runners up and the winners are going to say cliches like I had fun and thanks for voting and stuff, but the other 12 couples were given a chance to say those cliches, why shouldn't the top 2 couples?!

its strictly, not rehab, or therapy.

if she were that fragile, she wouldn't have been on the show in the first place.

i don't personally think she is, and she'd probably be embarrassed by some of the comments supposedly in support / defence of her.

Completely agree, the worse place to come seems to be second as no-one wants to talk to you once the winner is announced.

As you say an extra ITT would pick up on any lose ends.

Even up till the after the finals, you are still nasty to Chelsee. What's wrong with you?

It would be nice indeed for her to thank her pro partner Pasha. They did that in series 4, 5 and 6. Didn't bothered with series 7 but series 8 was the same problem as last night's final. Mcfly bandmates running to Harry wasn't the main factor they ran out of time. They should have kept those silly VT about the 'general public' out then they would have time for Chelsee and Pasha to commiserate.
