Maybe she's just not as good as we think?

When I saw her waltz in week 1, I thought she'll be the next Alesha. However, she never seemed able to fulfil that potential even when she had finished filming Waterloo Road.

She may be a naturally gifted dancer, but as Carlos Acosta once said, ultimately it's all about focus and determination.

She was very nervous.....

She doesn't have the experience of performing live like Harry does. She's definitely more talented than Harry dance talent wise. But once she gets more experience as she gets older, I think she'll improve. Then again, I can't see how Chelsee would get more acting jobs. Look at Kara. She won last year and nothing new came up for her, and Kara only has slight speech problem, Chelsee must learn other accents to be able to get other acting jobs in the future.

Kara has worked almost the whole time since ? She was in Pygmalion lately and in a film ? What speech problem did Kara have ?

I though Kara was working in the West End in theatre?

Chelsee's agent was giving an interview only this week saying they have been flooded with offers of work for her. I know what you're saying about the accent but if you look at her drama background and where she's been to drama school etc I imagine differnet accents is part of her repertoire. Can't see how she could avoid it TBH.

Chelsee did seem a bit upset at times, but she danced the Jive and Quickstep well and her Rumba was the best Rumba of the series.

You cant control the public vote and I'm sure she got a massive vote, so I hope when she reflects on it she will be very happy with how things have changed for the better for her during her time at Strictly.

I think she was just overwhelmed by the whole occasion. She seems to be such a lovely unassuming girl. I hope that the future will bring good things for her.

I thought she was just overwhelmed by the occasion too. She's such a wonderful dancer, it was a shame to see her not able to enjoy her last show very much.

I don't think there was much in it. Their showdance was the worst of the three but otherwise she did ok I thought.

She went into the final defeated before anyone had danced - she'd already convinced herself she wasn't going to win and convinced she didn't have much support, which is quite sad really.

oh I don't know she seemed ok to me one thing is for certain as an actress, this has now opened up a lot of doors for her in that she could now have a future in the West End musicals.

Maybe she suffers in the cold? There were a lot of tweets saying how cold it was in the tower, and I believe that was said on ITT too... So maybe nerves coupled with cold put her off a bit. She still did amazingly

She seemed really nervous; even to the point I wondered if she would have preferred to be knocked out third and to be honest she was lucky to be the runner up; I thought Jason (on the night) should have been second.

As a Harry & Aliona fan I guess I'm thankful that Chelsee was below par IMO tonight because I really expected her to win.

She has been superb though all series, and helped make this the best ever.

Kara's been in Pygmalion and she's gonna be in Absent Friends on the West End. She also had small roles in Bedlam and in Ideal (tv series). During this series of Strictly, she wasn't around much to support Artem because she was filming Last Passenger with Dougray Scott.

Strictly really did revive her career - she's been working pretty much non-stop the whole year.

Kara has worked constantly since winning last year - she starred in Pygmalion in the West End to great reviews (and had to master cockney and RP for that role), has done two films and is again in the West End in an Alan Ayckbourn play from the end of January.

What speech problem? An Estuary accent?

Edit: Oops, back on topic, Chelsee was definitely not on anything like top form tonight, lacking bounce, confidence or anything approaching the joie de vivre she's exhibited previously. I think it must have been nerves, and it's a shame, but although I wanted her to win, Harry deserved to do so on tonight's performances.

Chelsee made it to the final so she should be proud of herself but she didn't appear to be on top form tonight and may just have been overawed by the venue. From her quickstep onwards Chelsee’s shown me she’s a talented girl and have to say she's the one I‘ve enjoyed watching the most.

Tell that to Michael Caine or Sean Connery

I think a lot of it may have been to do with the showdance - she was scared of all those lifts, and from boobgate we know she is terrified of falling or doing something wrong which to her would have been embarrassing. Her confidence problem again.
