To go James and Aliona.

Katya and Robin haven't really made impressions on me but it's probably because neither have had particularly good partners.

Anton and Erin I know aren't up to the standard in latin of some of the others but I definitely think they bring something to the show- it wouldn't be the same without Anton in my opinion and I think most of the general public would miss him even if most of DS wouldn't. That's just the impression I've got.

James and Ola I think might not be there next year, mainly because of the whole tour thing but also because they're trying for a baby.

I definitely think Brendan, Vincent, Flavia, Kristina, Pasha and Artem will be back, or at least they should be.

I think people have warmed to Natalie this series so she will probably be back, and so will Aliona but she'll be given a dud.

I'd like to see Robin go. And Kristina - the overblown Russing sexpot thing is old. Loathe the Jordans and Katya a bit of a non-event for me. Aliona I don't like but she's entertainingly unpredictable with her choreographic madness of latter years. She's just won, so she won't go. Not sure Anton will stay, though it must be said I doubt any of the other dances would put up with the year on year crapfest he's had, however bad at Latin he is.

I'd be concerned that if Vincent and Flavia left, next year Jason's effort might be touted as The Gold Standard - The Perfect Argentine Tango!!

Next year is a difficult year. Artem is overdue someone who isn't a contender. On this year's performance its not clear he can choregraph anything easy enough. Aliona now is also due a non winner too. Pasha and Kristina may not get a finalist either .Anton is due someone better but he can't teach anyone Latin well enough to match their potential. He's now typecast as trainer of hopeless cases- but he's been doing it so long he looks stale.

Vincent now deserves someone good - having served his time in purgatory after Rachel. They keep on using him for Tangos and to make an impact in group dances, so they seem to see his importance. Ola deserves someone good - having won with someone who wasn't, and after taking other weak people further than they would otherwise have got. It doesn't make much sense criticising her choregraphy when she's been given the job of hiding just how bad the people she has been given were .She might well do something different if her celebs were ever up to it. Its time to see that she can do with someone good.

James seems to have done a really good job with Alex, and he's the right age to teach anyone her age or older - which the young pros are not. There seems to be confusion about criticising him, and him in the role the producers have cast him in as Brendan's replacement. If they didn't want OTT reactions the producers wouldn't have judges making OTT comments, and it would be pointless if he wasn't there to react. Its rather like criticising anyone playing the Wicked Queen for being unlikeable and failing to see that that doesn't mean the actor is wicked.

If anything, the older group of celeb contestants, that they are now going for, argues for keeping their older and more experienced pros onboard next year. Their additional problem is that if the current newer pros are due someone weak, either the older stars will have to stay and get the better people or there's only a choice of a few existing people and whoever new turns up. Given they are still meandering around trying to work out what the show is about, and the balance between dancing and anything else , it doesn't look that wise a move to put in new inexperienced people, let alone to hope that they will get it right with a real contender in their first year.

Robin seems like a great guy but I don't rate his teaching or choreography.
As much as Anton irks me, he's still the most recognisable face on the show and I doubt they would get rid of him.
Erin's heart doesn't seem to be in it anymore but then she hasn't exactly been given contenders recently.
Ola and James - Sorry to their fans but I find their choreography stale.

The rest I'd give another chance.

I think they do need to get rid of a coupling - preferably the Jordans. Or take Robin out and put Ian back in if they get a taller celeb.

I don't see them bringing Ian back. If they get new pros in they'll be younger - that's been the trend over the last few years.

Agree about the role playing, I'm convinced that the pros are all given roles to play to at the start of the series. As for James - well, everybody was talking about him weren't they? Bit like Dirty Den, you didn't like him, but he was still a major part of the show and pulled the viewers in. James creates interest and keeps people talking, I don't think he's top of the hit list.

I think that Anton may go. His card's been marked since the business with Laila. Until then he was being groomed as Brucie's replacement but it's noticeable how that's stopped now, as have most of his other TV work.

I hate to say it, but I wonder if Vincent and Flavia will go. Not because the BBC give them the push, but because they want to (like Karen Hardy who wanted to concentrate on other things). They're doing quite a lot of work outside Strictly now, and I believe that they've turned the tour down for a couple of years running, because they said they didn't have time to do it. People I know who never watch Strictly know who Vincent and Flavia are, so I think that they're building a profile away from the programme. I hope that I'm wrong because they'd be sadly missed, but I wonder.

I would get rid of James, Ola, Anton, Erin, Robin and Katya. I would bring back Matthew Cutler, Ian Waite and Brian Fortuna, and get in 3 new girls.

Vincent deserves a real contender, as does Flavia, and it would be nice to give Brendan another shot. Hope Artem gets a real dud! Pasha and Aliona are due duds too. Natalie and Kristina will probably get run of the mills.

I would also get rid of Tess and give her job to Claudia, and keep Zoe on ITT !

I think the combination of Professionals is about right.

Should the allocation of Pros to celebs be a bit more transparent or random I'm sure one of the lottery machines could be borrowed for the launch show.

celeb/professional called forward, button pushed, ball pops out celeb and professional assigned!

Anton may not be that good at latin (dancing) but he does have talent when paired with the 'comedy' celeb. Flavia may have created good routines for Russell, but she wasn't able to add to Russell's somewhat limited range of chat. Anton has been consistently creative with the comedy acts.

It will be interesting to see how Artem does on the tour with Nancy - that's a strange pairing and I'm wondering where Craig was coming from with that?
Aliona has already done the tour comedy role with Ricky Groves, so maybe she can give Artem some advice? Anyway, good luck Artem.

It probably takes the first year for the pro to get established, and they have been chucking the new boys some prime celebs over the last two years. That of course makes the old hands like Vincent look bad when you give him someone unpopular and heavy and old to try to try to work with.

Plus they have swung the pro dance choreography away from Strictly style to SYTYCD style, which isn't going to suit those with a ballroom background.

I think the quality of the celebs is a key factor and the pairings is also vital. This year we had a lot of celebs with little or no dance training and IMO they needed to give the pros about 6 weeks before the first dance to give them a chance of showing what the celebs could do. The dancing was very poor in the first weeks and you can end up with someone with dance potential going out early because they dont have a big fanbase.

Aliona has indeed danced on the tour of DWTS and had a couple of "guest professional dances" back in 2008/09 and Artem was on her her professional dances, she also danced with Derek Hough and Maks on the tour

I definitely want to keep.. Pasha, Katya, Natalie, Artem,Brendan.

Her choreography hasn't been great this year but i'd like to see Ola have one more shot, paired with a natural talent to see what she could do. However, I think I read an interview where she said that she and James are trying for a baby, so she may not return for this reason.

I think that Robin's a lovely guy, but i've been unimpressed with his choreography and teaching skills so I wouldn't miss him if he was axed.

I would like Anton and Erin to go but they are probably popular with/familiar to casual viewers.

The others... Vincent, Flavia, Kristina, Aliona I am quite meh about so not fussed if they stay or go.

Of the former pros, the only one I would bring back is Ian. I've sort of suprised myself with that as he was never one of my favourite pros while he was in, unlike Brian. However, with hindsight, he was the right mix of good choreography, good teaching style and friendliness/empathy
with the celeb.

I want Robin to go. Not the best dancer (in either discipline), not the best choreographer, and the cuteness bugs me He's also far too beefy to be a dancer.

They can replace him with Matthew or Ian. Except that I quite like seeing Ian on Wednesdays on ITT. So replace Robin with Matthew.

The Jordans are a bit boring sometimes, but I'd like them to stay to have some quality dancers. I think their talent is obvious by how far they manage to take poor celebrities. Choreographically they need to improve though.

Well it would be between James and Ola as some of the choreography is criminal or Anton and Erin as the latin is lacking to be honest.

My opinions of pros like Brendan and Aliona have gone up considerably recently too

Not Robin as I think if he has a good partener he might able to show off better choreography

I'd just like to see some more home grown pro dancers.....

Surely there must be some British pros who would be capable of doing the show and would love to be given the chance to raise their profiles rather than bringing in Russian and Antipodean dancers.

Don't get me wrong - I love Kristina, Aliona, Artem and Pasha as well as Brendan Natalie and Erin, but I would like to see some of the British stars on show too (I class Ola and Lilia as Brits as they are married to British lads)!

Last time SCD employed "home grown" dancers, it pulled the top british couples off the competition floor. Wouldn't you rather british dancers stay in competition where they can get a good name for Britain? Let the mediocre foreign dancers come on SCD. It's also not a bad lesson in tolerance to see so many foreigners on TV.

They could do what they do in DWTS and have a pool of pros who have the odd season out but come back, or that dip in and out of competing but stay in the frame by doing pro routines during the main and results shows.

I would say alot of you are missing a point with the Jordans is they are talented teachers and clever with the Choerography in they get their students through to the next round. Mostly their students show improvement something that cannot be said of some of the other Pros.
Alex Jones is a very clear case she arrived on the show unable to dance and James got her to the semi-finals If that annoys some on here thats how the show went. I hope they do keep James in he said a few things that needed saying he stuck up for his Celeb and he has guided 2 celebs alot further in the compition than many thought they would get. Its Interesting to see what Pamela has said about him and Alex as well.
