I agree with this.

Sorry if you like him... he's a very likeable character. But as far as it goes as a dancer... not for me. Just my opinion

Robin was the only convincing gladiator. Not sure if this is a plus or minus point.

He's now typecast as trainer of hopeless cases- but he's been doing it so long he looks stale.

Vincent now deserves someone good - having served his time in purgatory after Rachel. They keep on using him for Tangos and to make an impact in group dances, so they seem to see his importance. Ola deserves someone good - having won with someone who wasn't, and after taking other weak people further than they would otherwise have got. It doesn't make much sense criticising her choregraphy when she's been given the job of hiding just how bad the people she has been given were .She might well do something different if her celebs were ever up to it. Its time to see that she can do with someone good.

James seems to have done a really good job with Alex, and he's the right age to teach anyone her age or older - which the young pros are not. There seems to be confusion about criticising him, and him in the role the producers have cast him in as Brendan's replacement. If they didn't want OTT reactions the producers wouldn't have judges making OTT comments, and it would be pointless if he wasn't there to react. Its rather like criticising anyone playing the Wicked Queen for being unlikeable and failing to see that that doesn't mean the actor is wicked.

If anything, the older group of celeb contestants, that they are now going for, argues for keeping their older and more experienced pros onboard next year. Their additional problem is that if the current newer pros are due someone weak, either the older stars will have to stay and get the better people or there's only a choice of a few existing people and whoever new turns up. Given they are still meandering around trying to work out what the show is about, and the balance between dancing and anything else , it doesn't look that wise a move to put in new inexperienced people, let alone to hope that they will get it right with a real contender in their first year.”

Which "young pros"? Artem is the only one significantly younger, and that's an age gap of 4 years. Pasha, Vincent, Brendan, and Robin are all more or less the same age as James is. And Anton...is ageless.

Keep:
Brendan, Pasha, Katya, Natalie (only like her in pro dances, mind), Ola, Robin, Kristina

Indifferent:
Artem

Go:
Anton, Erin, James, Aliona, Vincent, Flavia.

I don't think that anyone, should go. Fed up of the 'freshen up the show ' tactic used by the show.
If James Jordan leaves I'll throw my TV through the window. ( An old tv and an open window but the sentiment is the same).
The only problems I can see are that Natalie is too tall for anyone except Brendan plus very tall celebs. Maybe she could bend down a bit.

I can only think of Anton. I don't know why he was allowed back after his appalling racist remarks to Lailla Rouass (who was very much a lady and never said anything about it publicly), Anne Widdecombe gave him a bit of a boost last year but now I think he is past sell by date.
I don't think Erin is past it, she is marvellous and I have to say I love to see her and Anton dance together, it's magic. Still I say, axe Anton.

Fortunately its up to the new producer to decide who stays or is replaced.

I hope they look back over a few years and take good independent advice before deciding.

It depends a lot on the celeb as to what the pro can do and nearly all of them have done well when given a good celeb.

Its about more than dancing, and there has to be entertainment and relationships on the show, be they friendly, funny or feisty. We didn't get so see that used enough this year because of the lack of video about how the couples got on and instead we had the mostly dire VTs.

I dont think changing the pros is a necessity and it should be done sparingly as and when they can do it successfully. There are many other more important things to get right on the show.

Without knowing who I could replace them with, its a bit of a pointless exercise tring to decide who if any should go.
Seems to be more of a who do you dislike poll.

Do people still not realise that none of Ian, Matthew, Darren, Lilia, Karen, Brian Fortuna are going to return to the show? It's not going to happen, sorry.

But there's still every chance Hayley Holt will come back right? RIGHT?

Ian might. I can imagine them asking him back if they have another very tall female celeb, and I think he would say yes if asked.

None of the others will though!

New producer = some def changes , they will want to make thier mark .

I really dont think The Jordans will go , not the best dancers on the show but they are contoversial and its more a entertainment show than dance .

I def think there will be couple new dancers at the expense of others cant see the new producer getting rid of Anton too even though its his time to go and would suit a itt role much better now .

I can see them axing the following:
Erin, Robin, Katya

Although don't want any of them to go. Pro line-up is pretty much perfect atm.

Pasha?? Really. Wow. I had a serious case of policemen looking like boy scouts these days with him.

I think Anton is past his sell by date, while his ballroom is sublime, his latin is just not up to par, but my reasoning is also that the show has given him the joke acts. It's no wonder his smile never reaches his eyes now.
James has been just awful this year,so ill mannered, Although he did bring Alex on very well, so he can teach, so I am undecided about him.
Katya doesn't manage to excite me, either as a dancer, or as a teacher, so maybe her.

I think they should definitely keep Vincent, Flavia, Natalie, Brendan, Aliona and, although I don't always love his choreography, I would keep Artem.

Anton should go. He is just a character always trying to be funny and always failing and not a good teacher.

I am also getting sick of James. Erin is also quite boring.
I do like Artem,Pasha,Flavia and Vincent.

Katya does not excite me either.
Christina must definitely stay. I like the ones that have good choreography like the 2 Russians and Christina. (Isn't she also Russian?)

Robin's choreography also bores me to be honest.

They should get Maks from DWTS to strictly.

I don't particularly like that on DWTS; I like to have familiar Pros throughout the seasons.

What they should do is ditch Anton, Robin and Erin, and bring in Maks, Tristan and Cheryl from DWTS. The Pro line up would be perfection!

I think they should leave the pro line up as it is for at least another year.

I find it sad that some people are writing Robin and Katya off as dull - neither of them have been given strong partners yet so they've not been given a chance to show what they can do!

I strongly doubt whether the established pros on DWTS would come over to do SCD either - Why would they They earn far more money over there!

If that ever happens it'll be goodbye to Strictly from me.

Tristan - yes! Cheryl - maybe, Maks - yuk.

True - especially as the established pros there tend to get called up every season. The non-established/one season only pros might defect though, like Brain Fortuna did. I gather all their pros are signed on a 3 year retainer but some like Dmitry Chaplin, Alec Mazo, Damien Whitewood, Chelsie Hightower, Corky Ballas, Jonathan Roberts, Louis Van Amstel etc seemed/seem to get the call up on a random basis while some others (Karina, Edyta, Cheryl, Derek, Mark, Julianne, Maks, Kym, Anna, Tony, Lacey) seemed/seem a certainty every season, unless they choose to leave.

Edyta leaving partly because of the way the show treated Alec was quite revealing - must be very frustrating when you're signed to a show, cannot leave to do another country's show but still do not get allocated a celeb partner for up to 3 seasons in a row.

It'll be interesting to see how Tristan, Val and Peta are treated next season. Of all the pros on DWTS Tristan is the one I can see defecting if he is dropped for more than one season as Strictly was his first choice - probably as it's closer to home and he lived in London for a while. Won't be next year though (sadly).

But Maks has made for such good TV viewing! He has a 'love to hate' relationship with viewers, and he is such a character

I'm very curious as to how the new Pros will be treated on the next season of DWTS; Val and Peta didn't make an impression on me at all, regardless of the fact that they were voted out early, whilst Tristan made an impression instantly. I think they'd be mad not to call him back for another season, but then it all depends on which celebrities they book.

Only 3 months to wait until we find out!

Anton and Erin- yes everyone identifies weaknesses in Latin, but that never stopped Erin with the likes of Colin or Austin... in fact some of their most memorable dances were Cha Chas, Rumbas and Paso's, so really can't see a case for that as far as Erin's concerned- and Anton is just the comedy role clearly being given the time to be Bruce's eventual successor... so I'd expect their longevity to continue.

Brendan and Natalie I think are guaranteed to stay- Brendan's the original champion, and his image as rent a pro has done him no harm whatsoever, and Natalie has proved herself to be capable with both talented dancers, and Audley... so I think they're pencilled in for 2012

Robin and Kristina I reckon are two more to stay- Kristina's the Marilyn Monroe-esc lady of the group and only just been given a decent celeb, I think she'll be back, and Robin has only ever been given distinctly average contestants- he's had neither a dud nor a trip-the-light-fantastic contender, so I think there's two more.

Pasha and Katya- Well Pasha's a finalist in his first year- I think he'll be welcomed back, the audience have taken him to their hearts, so there's no reason for the beeb to be rid of him, especially since he's still "new and fresh" according to the aforementioned policy. Katya again hasn't been given a fighting chance to reach the final- I think she may be this year's Kristina and be given the early fave.

Artem and Aliona: Aliona is, I've made no bones about it, one I'd be urging to be shown the exit door with a very large boot up her deriere, I don't think she's particularly brought anything good and/or invaluable to the show other than controversy with her hit and miss choreography- but as reigning champ I now see no real chance of her going this time... so grinning and bearing for another year. Artem is a relatively new entity still, like Robin and Pasha- so will be back- which is no bad thing his choreography is revolutionary and not all that bad.

James and Ola: Probably in trouble- James' publicity isn't what Brendan's was, or Aliona is, his choreography isn't that cutting edge and Ola just appears to be old news... they don't really bring anything to the show, good or bad... if the beeb are looking to cut someone it looks like a settled option

Vincent and Flavia- with the calibre of pro dancing they do- the highlight they make each year of their Argentine Tango- I can't see them being shown out, especially with what Flavia did with Russell for the show- BUT, with their own tour, they could chose to leave themselves- although other contestants (namely Anton and Erin) are able to juggle their own tours with the show, and with the fun Flavia had this year, they may end up ok (here's hoping)

OR- might the BBC just add some new pros and not take any away? Back in Alesha's day they had 16 celebs, these last few years only 14, they could just add up, get an extra week or two in...

The best indication is probably that those who have started to suffer from the afliction of thinking they are bigger than the show are most vulnerable.

The entertainment profession is littered with victims of this disease since Simon Dee did it so spectacularly.

"Sometime when you're feeling important;
Sometime when your ego 's in bloom;
Sometime when you take it for granted,
You're the best qualified in the room:
Sometime when you feel that your going,
Would leave an unfillable hole,
Just follow these simple instructions,
And see how they humble your soul.
Take a bucket and fill it with water,
Put your hand in it up to the wrist,
Pull it out and the hole that's remaining,
Is a measure of how much you'll be missed.
You can splash all you wish when you enter,
You may stir up the water galore,
But stop, and you'll find that in no time,
It looks quite the same as before.
The moral of this quaint example,
Is to do just the best that you can,
Be proud of yourself but remember,
There's no indispensable man."
