I think there would have been lots of people who would have been over the moon to have her spend Christmas with them. I wonder if Luke was annoyed and his family disappointed that she didn't join them in Ireland. There could be many reasons for this - they could have had a row, Christmas does definitely seem to be distressing for her, she might want time and space on her own - time to ponder and take stock, could be work related ...

But something I have wondered is whether all these vindictive, shallow and cruel people who hurl abuse at her for her weight and find annnnnnything they can to slate her over.. if they have actually got to her? And hurt her? That she feels she has to go to boot camp to get fit and healthy and lose some weight to escape the evil taunts of her being obese etc.. Yet, the majority of these people don't have a profile photo of themselves they have a picture of John or something or someone else - funny that, isn't it?

It is strange cheeky indeed that they dont put up their own photos. I also think that some of these people go for the lowest insults when they are arguing. I have seen insults to a few of Josies fans eg Cazie which are bang out of order when mentioning weight. If you do not agree with someone that is one thing but I do feel as soon as you bring someones weight, looks into it then you have lost the battle. Josie and some of her supporters would have to have skins as thick as rhinos not to be a little hurt by these spiteful people. It is cruel and so un necessary. I do/did notice a complete change of image/face in one supporter of John.
NB * I apologise if the same behaviour has been sent the other way to John's supporters , just not seen it. I do believe slurs on John's physique are wrong too.

Twitter is like playground,and it is always easy to insult ppl behind a computer screenI'm sure if they were to be ignored,they'll soon move on!

This is going back a few days on twitter now but still feed the need to get it off my chest ..

There are several of the usual suspects STILL maintaining that Josie was in a desperate bid for attention to be in a magazine over arguing with John on twitter..

What they conveniently forget is -

1 - Josie is ALREADY in a magazine on a weekly basis (at least 1) with her column and she would be whether or not John was mentioned. Take for example this week - John was not spoken about at all and her article was PUBLISHED *gasps* But however can that be? Because, don't they believe that John is the only person the tabloids are really interested in?

2 - Josie contacted John privately as the hate was getting to her.. she tried to reach out to him in an attempt to make it stop thinking he was not angry any more. Okay, she went about it probably the wrong way by calling his fans deluded etc and suggesting that he re-tweet the plus size thing but then we've only seen select snippets from the e-mail.. Snippets that JOHN wanted to make public. It was John who began to broadcast their dirty laundry and it all erupted over twitter from there.

So surely if there was an instigator looking for media attention through twitter wars it would be John. Although, I do not believe those were John's motives for his tweets. I don't think he was hoping for/expecting any media publicity but that he was simply lashing out in fury at what he considered to be Josie's gall .. I think he wanted to humiliate her as she'd just said in the interview that she wanted NO contact with him.

While mocking her he didn't exactly come away looking pure as the driven snow himself.

Oh why not? My tongue is running away with me so I may as well continue with my quibbles ..

I'm also enraged that Josie has taken time out of her life to reply to post she has received .. not realising that some of those people are openly scathing and downright nasty about her on social networking sites Not only giving of her time but her money presumably too (if she is still paying for her own stamps etc like her and John did before) to mail out replies and cards and pictures etc.. out of the kindness of her heart - having no idea of the horrible horrible things they have said since!

She has always been such a generous person with her time and doing nice things for others that it infuriates me that her good nature is abused.

It is just something else I had considered and obviously HOPE that her haters haven't driven her to this. I hope her going to boot camp is for HER because SHE wants to and not for anyone or anything else.

Jose humiliated John,John humiliated Jose,both were in a relationship,that ended very badly,and looks like the anger is still there?

Now this two sides is something entirely different,one side think they're defending her,the other side think they're defending him,when both don't need anyone to speak up for them,both John & Jose are quite capable of that lol

I'd say ignorance is bliss,if you get so worked up,maybe you should unfollow those horrible ppl lol,or try and not read what they have to say?

And several of them brand 'muckers' as obese as a collective.. I support Josie (though don't see myself as a mucker and support John and don't see myself as a loy) so I'm an obese size 8??? I've never weighed more than 7 and a half stone in my life - so if they want to tell me I am morbidly fat because I like a person they can try it!

I am surprised that John does KNOW what his supporters are saying not only about Josie but about those who follow her on twitter .. as he was always so vociferously against this! Yet now he says that it should be expected going on a show like BB? That's not the John I thought I'd watched on TV. And he certainly didn't like it when his appearance was insulted on BB or when Josie and he used each other's size as a trade off to taunt each other.. so they both know how hurtful it feels.

I have seen similar tweets to John about him being too skinny etc etc and other nasty, nasty tweets - he doesn't seem to get them as regularly as Josie. They definitely increase when he does tweet though. And NEITHER of them and for that matter, nobody on twitter should be subjected to such abuse. What have they done? Been on a reality show, fallen in love and broken up? If John and Josie want to be unkind and horrible to or about each other .. I can understand that more as they were the ones originally in a relationship .. but total strangers just wanting to be malicious and hit someone where it hurts - that is beyond me!

I hope so too, but after reading last weeks column it sounded as though she wanted to do it for Luke as a Christmas present - that is the part I couldn't understand as she has previously said he preferred curvy girls

I'm just referring to the twitter incident. I know Josie has said things that probably humiliated John too and vice versa but I am solely talking about their recent twitter show down.

Totally agree with you on the side taking and how they think they are defending them. And these are two of the most forthright people on the planet - they don't mince their words if they have something to say!

I don't get so worked out at that post probably makes it seem - I just had some thoughts and decided to post them all in one sitting. Which makes it look like I am a lot angrier than I am about the situation. I don't follow any of those from either side (to my knowledge) and block any I come across but just reading my twitter timeline I see it as people I follow from both 'sides' re-tweet etc.. So it is hard to avoid it altogether although I wish I could

Not making her .. I don't think anyone could make Josie STUBBORN AS A MULE Gibson do anything that she didn't want to do but maybe motivated her or made her feel like it is necessary.

I don't think he needs to do anything as such .. but not patting them on the back would be nice. I know he wouldn't be able to eliminate hate on twitter, I'm not an idiot but I do think both he and Josie are guilty of fueling the fires now and again. I don't think I'm being unfair to him as that's not the person I think he is. I think lots of things in life are unfair and not much can be done about it - I just think on this occasion he did not help matters.

Did John say he knew what the horrible tweets were personally or just that he knew there would be horrible tweets meaning from personal experience and from the tweets Josie received when he was with her? And in a way he is kinda right (tho i dont think this is justified) but both he and Josie and a load of other people did choose to live 10 weeks of their lives in front of an audience, they tell details of their lives in interviews and reality shows ( thank god for us) so in a way they have all put themselves out there to be judged to a certain degree although it is totally unnecessary for all the hate .

I'm sure she's doing for herself,to feel good about herself.

I think he meant that you'll get bad things written about you,when you decide to go on BB.All previous housemates got it,still get it...sad but trueJose isn't the first,and won't be the last....not sure what some ppl have against ex-bb housemates?
