I know they try and create a balance across a number of fields showbiz, sports and politics but they have to get the balance between a entertainment programme and a competition.

Judging by a lot of comments on here about peoples minds being made up before last night, they may have well just saved Jason the effort of putting another week in and opened the phone lines last week. I had nothing for or against Jason but on his dances last night he should of been in the final two, although I don't think he would have won. What happened last night was the equivalent of winning the cup final, then giving the cup to the opposition because they played better in the earlier rounds or we just like their kit more than yours.

There's slightly too much weighting towards it becoming a popularity contest more than a competition and I'm losing interest.

People don't understand, it IS a popularity contest. Otherwise the BEEB wouldn't let the public have a vote and they certainly wouldn't let the winner be solely decided by the publics' 'favourite'.
