'War of the Wards - Part One' (S26 E29)

Henrik continues to pester Nick to divert all acid attack victims to St. James, But Nick retaliates with the fact there hasn't been an attack for weeks and they have probably come to an end. But is Nick right, have the attacks ended?

The new Holby Shopping Centre opens its doors for its first day, and with many shoppers, the queues soon become back-logged and conditions cramped. Jacqueline heads to the opening day, in hope of forgetting her seemingly sealed fate, but can't help but notice a suspicious looking man heading for the boiler room, so Jacqueline unwisely decides to follow him...

Tired with being the face of the waiting room, Noel begins to look at Medical Courses at the local college. Will Noel leave the ED to achieve his dream?

As Jacqueline continues to follow the man, she is shocked to discover to find him pouring a substance into the water tanks which supplies water to fire sprinklers. As the man is startled by Jacqueline's presence, he forcefully attacks her leaving her unconscious.

Henrik receives the backing of Henry to divert all acid attack victims to St. James, but fuming Nick Jordan refuses to let any cases be diverted. Is a War between the Wards beginning?

In the new shopping centre, the fire alarms sound, and the contaminated water flows to the ground, with people being burnt by the acid, they flee for the exits. And as the injured public rush outside, the shutters begin to close...

Tess is horrified to receive the call that multiple casualties are now on their way to Holby ED. Will the A&E Department be able to cope?

Meanwhile, Georgina returns to work following her mother's outburst that she helped her own father to die! And, Shudah and Tariq also return to the ED after their house is torched!

The Fire Sprinklers cease, As Jacqueline is awoken by the screaming public who are trapped in what is basically a pool of acid. Shaken Jacqueline wanders out into the horrific scene, which could have only been imagined, and attempts to reach critical patients. But Jacqueline soon realises it will be difficult task to treat the injured as the acid is everywhere!

A quarantined area is set up in Holby A&E, with Maggie, Dylan, Zoe, Georgina, Linda and Tess the only medics allowed to step into the quarantined area. With Jacqueline already on site, Sam heads to shopping centre along with Lloyd, Yuri, Jeff and Dixie.

Nick and Henrik lock horns as the acid victims who escaped are rushed into ED, and as Henrik admits he made a mistake by attempting to divert the acid attack victims to nearby St. James, He shocks Nick to the core when he asks for his resignation! Is he Henrik's scape goat?

The ED team are shocked to see Benjamin Morris barge into the quarantined area, who locks the doors. And Maggie, Dylan, Zoe, Linda, Tess and Georgina are left fearing for their lives when Benjamin reveals a canister full with sulphuric acid, and he demands they step away from the victims.

Shudah and Tariq reveal to each other they have no plans to live after their acid ordeal, and both head for the roof. Noel rushes to to the roof to persuade them to come down, but its too late as the pair have already leaped to their deaths. Noel has failed to become the hero he desperately wants to be again.

Georgina tries to comfort her brother, but Benjamin reveals it wasn't supposed to go this far, it was only supposed to be the owners of the Dog who mauled Lily-Belle to death - Shudah and Tariq! It transpires Benjamin hired assassin Riklam to carry out the attacks, but he couldn't face a life behind bars, so killed himself in an explosion!

Jacqueline risks her life to attend to a little girl who has swallowed some of the acid, but after effortfully trying to save the girl, the girl passes away in her arms. The shopping centre shutters are finally cut open, and the remaining acid attack victims are treated and sent to St. James following the hostage situation at Holby A&E.

With more pressing, Benjamin reveals he made sure Nick Jordan would pay by tormenting him with clues to who the next victim would be. No harm was ever meant, especially to innocent victims Jasmine and Nora.

Facing a bleak future in prison, Benjamin attempts to swallow the acid, but Noel barges into resus and wrestles Benjamin to the ground, but during the tussle, Noel and Benjamin are both covered in acid!

As the staff try to save the life of colleague Noel, Tired of being Henrik's right hand man, Nick Jordan departs the ED without a word to the others.

The staff are in mourning when Noel dies in resus, and have a 2 minute silence to remember the acid attack victims.

wow love the conclusion to the acid storyline, i hope the producer of Casualty is reading this as he can get some good storylines!

and referring to what you said about Harry Harper i agree, i thought they would have at least dedicated an episode to Simon Macorkindale. you are so lucky to have met him

Agreed. Really imaginative and excellent episodes here and a very different direction to mine. This should be the real Casualty.

'Miranda' actress joins Casualty

Sarah Hadland who is best known as Stevie Sutton in BBC One comedy 'Miranda' as joined the cast of Casualty as new clinical lead, Amanda Kemp.

Amanda is described by Sarah as being determined and beyond her years of medical knowledge.

It also has been confirmed former 'Skins' actress Lily Loveless will play new Holby A&E receptionist Desiree Kemp, daughter of Amanda.

Sarah Hadland has also starred in Waterloo Road, The Jury, Bad Girls, That Mitchell and Webb Look and starred in Casualty in Series 18 Episode 29: 'Parenthood'. Whilst Lily Loveless recently starred in The Sarah Jane adventures as a homeless girl who befriended Clyde Langer and Bedlam.

Casualty announces online spin-off


Today Casualty's executive producer LittleMuffinz confirmed a Casualty online spin-off is currently in the works. It will apparently follow the F1's as they deal with the situations in Holby A&E.

The next episode of Casualy entitled 'Great Expectations' sees the introduction of new F1's Richie Weaver and Sophie Jacks played by David Ames and Gabriella Wilde respectively.

Casualty's online spin-off is apparently entitled 'Casualty: Pulse' although a name hasn't been officially announced.

Casualty's online spin-off follows EastEnders: E20 and Becoming Human as BBC One online spin-off commissions.

After following a week absence, Casualty returns.

Maggie Coldwell is in her element as she is assigned the role of acting clinical lead, and she soon expects to be made clinical lead with immediate effect. But Maggie gets a shock when a woman called Amanda Kemp knocks at the office door, and announces herself as new clinical lead of Holby A&E. As Maggie is turfed out the office, she can't help but feel upset.

Its new F1s Richie Weaver and Sophie Jacks first day, and things don't begin well when both their cars break down. And as they both hop onto the local bus, an old man collapses complaining with chest pains, will Richie and Sophie's knowledge of medicine kick in or will hardy any experience hold them back?

New receptionist Desiree fails to impress the ED staff and paitents as her unorganised nature is evident, and as complaints are made to new clinical lead Amanda, the ED staff receive a shock when it transpires Desiree is infact Amanda's daughter! But simple Desiree soon makes friends with nurse duo Scarlett and Lloyd.

Richie and Sophie arrive at Holby A&E heroes, after saving the life of Norman Phelps - the elderly man who collapsed on the bus. And with Amanda's praise, Richie and Sophie gain new confidence.

Meanwhile, Zoe and Dylan go on a date - Dylan style! And, Big Mac plants a memorial tree for late best friend, Noel.

After spending the night together on Dylan's barge, Zoe and Dylan awake to find the boat has drifted further into the Harbour, and as they frantically try to get back to main land, their shift at Holby A&E begins.

A Young fisherman who notices the predicament Zoe and Dylan find themselves in, and heads for their direction. But fishing line is tangled in the Lad's legs, and has he attempts to jump from one boat to another, he accidentally dives into the sea.

As Zoe and Dylan try to save the drowning man, they stumble across Sam's name badge. Was it Sam who untied the boat?

Charlie comforts nurse Georgina after her brother is charged with multiple counts of murder, but Tess is seething when her duties pile up.

The young fisherman, Rory Brennan is rushed into A&E after Zoe rescued him from a watery grave. After Sam, Amanda, Linda and Scarlett battle to save the lad's life, Rory comes around - thankful to the A&E staff.

Meanwhile, Amanda warns Henrik to steer clear of the A&E Department, or they'll be trouble. And, Sophie, Nathan, Desiree, Lloyd and Scarlett go out to new nightclub, Neo, but Scarlett notices Lloyd is uncomfortable in the surroundings.
