For me it's gotta be:

Sheibe, Government Hooker, Electric Chapel. Then it should end there. What do you think? I also think Heavy Metal Lover could be mixed in there, but I'm not sure if it's commercial enough for them to release it.

I think I'm the only one who wants Marry the Night to be the end, I believe it's a very fitting ending

I agree with this actually. I can definitely see Scheisse getting a release though.

Well something is very wrong if Scheiße isn't released as a single. It's not only the best track on the album, but also one of the best tracks she's ever done. It's looking more unlikely as time goes on though. Having said that, I love everything on BTW. They could all be singles in my book.

Possibly, the only problem with Scheisse is I don't think the radio will take to it

I think Sheibe may be the next single, but the reason I say Electric Chapel is because on 'Perez Hilton Super with Lady Gaga' she announced she wanted her tour to be called 'The Born This Way Ball at The Electric Chapel'. And Government Hooker because I'm just a slut.

I personally don't think there's anything strong enough to be a single, and that another release would be a major waste of time.

If I had to choose I'd say 'Hair', but it was previously used as a promotional single.

Hasnt she already released way too many singles from the album as it is, without another 3? I think, if she had to release one more single it should be Government Hooker. But, as a fan, this album - and the promotion of it - has bored me to tears. Videos released weeks after singles have gone on sale, promotion several weeks before a single was released - it has been a mess in my opinion.

And the music simply just isn't as good as what she promised the fans.

Onwards and upwards with album 4.

@Whispering, you mean album 3? TFM was just a re-realease, I hardly would count it as a whole album.

I had written 3 and deleted it because I did that once before and got shot down by fans telling me I was wrong and that TFM was her 2nd album. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

ETA- but I do agree with you.

By retiring?

Kidding aside, I think she's showcased most of the elements of the album (upbeat pop with TEOG, religious themes, cliche cheesy lyrics with BTW, piano-led slow song with Y & I), so it would make sense if she stopped here. However, I think she might release one more and it might be 'Scheisse' as it's a fan favorite. The only song I like on the album is 'Government Hooker' and I think it represents the album (not fully, but adequately), but I don't think she's going to pick it

She has only released 5. That isn't too many. That's standard.

I think she could look at the lack of success of Marry The Night, and go crazy with her single choices.

Americano, but a remix with Beyoncé, to continue the Papa/Tele plot.
Government Hooker, with a wild video.
Scheisse.

Then she'll be starting the tour (hopefully).

February- Scheiße
May- Heavy Metal Lover
August- Americano (Beyonce remix so the Paparazzi/Telephone trilogy can be completed)

and if she is still going for the nine singles...

October- Government Hooker

Electric chapel is the worse song on the album, if she must release something else then make it Scheisse.

Isn't standard 4 single releases? Maybe Im wrong and it has changed but it used to be 4 singles per album (for most artists anyway).

Sheisse has to be released. It would be a total injustice if it doesn't.

I completely agree with the bit in bold. Unfortunately it seems to be the way now. Loads of artists are the same (Rihanna & Beyonce especially).

Not sure about having too many singles though. An album can have as many or as few singles as the artist/record company wish. 1 single or 9 singles. There isn't a set number. Over half the tracks on MJ's Dangerous were released as singles, and pretty much all of them were hits.

I think she should just end it now to be honest, unless she does another Fame Monster type re-release. There's enough material for a few more singles, but it's not like Marry The Night has been a gigantic hit here, and presumably, the point of a single is to help sell the album. A number 20 charting song isn't particularly going to help sell many more copies of the album, but a re-release certainly would.

I'd prefer a re-release in the Summer, with lots of new material. Or maybe that's me being greedy!

I do love, "Government Hooker," but there is no way that it would be a hit, and would struggle to receive any airplay at all. The music video would probably be... epic, but, again, it would never beplayed on television.

For me, I'd say her next four singles (if she were to release nine) should be:

"Americano," needs to be a single, as it would be a great in the mini-movie follow-up to, "Telephone." Escaping to Latin America etc. Released March.

For, "Schiße," well, it's one of the top tracks on the album, and I can imagine it getting great airplay and being well received by many. To me, it's got that "Bad Romance," quality I can't put my finger on. Released June. (I can just imagine it being played in clubs everywhere during summertime) =P

"Bloody Mary," is such an eerie, creepy, but beautiful song. However, I'm not so sure how it would chart, and whether people would react to it. For instance, if they reacted to it as, "Judas?" If it were released near Halloween, it would capitalise among that theme, at least. Released October.

"Heavy Metal Lover," is a song that grows on most people, I think. I remember upon my first listen, I hated it, however, after it grows on you, it becomes a highlight of the album. Still, similar to, "Bloody Mary," I'm not sure if it would be a hit. It could be either a massive hit, or complete flop. Released January.

I would have also said, "Hair," but, I view that as being too similar to, "The Edge Of Glory."

I would say 3-4 is the standard.

One release, then album and another one, then a third to sustain album sales. Then maybe a 4th if the album has fallen away.
