I've decided that sometime this year I am going to get my hair naturally straightened at the hairdressers.

I'm now on my third set of skinny GHDs
and I also have wide plated straighteners by 'She', which are hotter than the GHDs and have no temperature control but it means I can just blast my hair with the hair dryer on a morn and straighten without sectioning my hair. Have to admit, I'm undecided about whether GHDs are worth the money. |

Annoyingly my straighteners have died - well the ceramic coating has peeled off, so I need to shell out for a new pair. I think I'll get a Sedu iron. A lot of stylists use these (well certainly in America) they seem to be regarded highly within the industry so I'll take the plunge!

I love my GHDs. Had them for 7 years and the cost per use over that time is pennies.
I always use Kerastase oleo relax serum though. It makes my hair super shiny. People often comment on it. I personally think GHDs are better for people with average to thick hair. I would never put them on my hair if it was fine- it would fry! |

I have had my GHD's for years!!! mine are the pink thin ones, all GHD's are good and worth the money, you just have to straighten your hair in small sections and make sure your using heat spray so it doesnt damage your hair

Mine are 10 years old and cost £85. I have used them 2 - 3 times a week and they have always worked brilliantly. I treat them with care, always pull the plug out of the socket after use, etc. and I have no complaints. Perhaps the originals were better made back then.
