i am really excited for alex and leona`s returns next year. both projects could be really great for the both of them. ”

Understand you totally. I thought misha hit the song head on emotionally - bottom 2 and all. Business like perhaps. Maybe its her voice, similar to beyonce. can show emotion but the voice is so powerful that emotion can seem like it comes 2nd. All we have to do is make sure we buy glassheart and alex's 2nd album and buy the next singles too (before the album drops) we need to support our girls. I dont hate leona, but I know her and alex can both do better. and theyve got the potential

i have everything album wise from both girls including the reissues. there is room for the both of them in the charts and still room for plenty more.

i am kind of hoping misha surprises me in the future. like i said, she has the talent. if she came along with a song that exposed her emotionally and she wrote it herself. then she could turn doubters into believers. i am sort of on the fence at this point. very talented girl though.

WOW! Dedication!
Listen to misha singing someone like you...there was a thread about it....changed many doubters into believers. Faling that youtube it Theres room for everyone in the charts! I think misha (if she has a deal) will be similar to cher but the music and lyrics will be far more hardcore. She'll have a lot to write about after her bout on the XF!

i have just watched the video. i am kind of disappointed, to be honest. not by her vocals, like i said previously, she always delivers. however, what the hell was she doing there? it sounds like there is about 10 people there and some people are talking over her.

i am glad kelly is supporting her though, the backlash in the x factor forum for both girls is ridiculous. i am sick of reading rubbish like `there`s no light or shade to her voice`. that video if anything proves she has got softness to her voice. there`s plenty of shade going on..

same! I liked it but yes, the crowd were irritating. Lots of shade going on on the forum (I'm to blame too! I'm guessing its a promo gig. Nice to see she's still around! We're getting vids of Misha so we know shes got a relatively smart agent/manager.

'Light and/or shade' its utter rubbish as you said. if that video and who you are dont convert people, its not an accurate critique, its something else. and also as you said...its against kelly too. and people were anti-kelly even before the lives. I love her fiestiness though, put Louis Walsh in his place (in a good way ) - I think he's afraid of dominant/confident/powerful women - but thats by the by. A voice cant have light or shade, its not possible. I think they meant a different style of vocal delivery.

But they should have said that, using ridiculous phrases to not state their true intentions on what they actually mean. She has issues but 6-8 months of training will remove them. Shes only 19 -same age as me. She's got potential - Love her upper register! (Ave Maria - Beyoncé cover - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk-w1...eature=related)

I had about 4-5 1/2 an hour singing lessons for a show and my tone improved dramatically as did my range (upper register was really weak and my voice was quite thin too - not anymore! ) and it was speech level singing - recommend it to anyone - funny - christina aguilera has recently gone to the head/founder of SLS to get singing lessons - about time too! Notice the difference in power and range that Alex had too from Dec 2008 to Dec 2011. Incredible - if Misha works with the same people...she'll have no problems, as she's a natural singer. Bad habits, but a natural all the same.

I just hope everything works out. And our girls get the producers and help and attention they need and deserve. Simon needs to start thinking properly. No point in having an extension strategy (a new act to have on his label) if he doesnt finance them properly. Silly, as he gains from them doing really well, trying to go to the US or breaking Europe will do wonders for Syco. Why doesnt he see this?

In terms of song choice its been Kelly like any mentor, but misha's played with the songs and arranged them to her benefit (as some say Kelly spent more time with her; no - maybe misha knows what to do to entertain - unlike her other female rivals?)

Maybe with alex it meant she had a good 2nd album with less pressure from syco. they were nice as she's technically leaving them, so the next LP ought to do well so they get a good cut. We'll never know. Interesting how only David mentioned the split and not Alex herself. She seems to have a lot of respect for simon and is quite smart too.”

I don't think Syco would have dropped her - the debut album did fairly well and we have no real indication that she was particularly difficult to work with.

Equally, I'm not entirely convinced by this heroic image of Alexandra battling her way out of Syco, striking fear into the hearts of senior executives who had no choice but to bow to her demands.

i have no idea what goes on in simon`s head and i accept he is his own worst enemy sometimes. i do believe that he believes in leona and alex though. alex may have moved, but there`s no way on earth she would get a guest judging role, without his approval.

people have a problem with feisty women, that`s sad but true. it doesn't bother me, in fact, i love it. if you've got it, flaunt it! alex`s fans were quick to play down rumours about diva behaviour, it doesn't bother me. the uk needs a proper diva! kelly was a good judge in my opinion, sure not everyone agrees, but some exaggerate her shortcomings, if any.

with misha b, she needs to find herself in my opinion. she is so gutsy on stage and so sure of herself. yet, she is so shy in non performance situations. that `bully` thing was completely rubbish and everyone knows that if they are honest. personally, i think she is the only one to watch after this series.

lol, that`s kind of what i was thinking, if i am being honest. that is funny, to be fair. she is an asset to any record label though, in all seriousness.

I agree totally. Flaunt it all right! No idea about the feisty women thing, I love it too! I hope Misha does find herself too. She is really really shy. Very similar to Beyonce in that respect, the stage is the stage and once the performance is over, the reality hits you. And she most certainly is the one to watch and has the most potential (in a nice way I mean, not casting shade on the others).

yeah, i understand what your saying, but its true though. little mix has a lot of potential, mind you. i agree with you on the beyonce comparison, personality wise. i have been a long time fan of her and even saw dentiny`s child in concert way back. she is humble and that`s kind of her appeal. leona is similar in that respect also.

The only thing is, musically I dont know what Little Mix will do. I know what Misha could do besides rap and hip hop but I'm not sure about the girls and Marcus too.

I saw the shyness first with Beyonce when she sang with Alex. She looked happy but slightly awkward whilst Alex was freaking out Like she didnt realise how she affects people (if you get my drift). She knows she's a star but the performance was over, and of course...its reality again. And the whole 'Im not that big a star, sweetie!' look she had, but to alex, a girl from Islington, she's just achieved everything she wanted in one night...all her Xmas' at once sort of thing. She had it (Beyonce) again with her interviews. When they show her performance footage, she almost tries to look away. And she hates acceptance speeches - who'd have thought! LOL she even said that kanyegate, on the night, meant she didnt have to make a speech, when Taylor got to have 'her moment'!

Obviously LM have a good team behind them, a la direction of 1D. Their album was better than I thought as was Cher's. I didnt know what to really expect from Rebecca, believe it or not. If simon says LM are the next spice girls it means he's struck gold. He wont let them go to waste. They're the only band to make it so far with relatively good vocals (perrie is stunning) and win, so its a milestone for the show (something that helped them win) and a good promo tool for US XF too, seeing as all the groups left quickly, it'll also show the standard they need to be at too.

There could be a US market for them, if they had an overcome style debut. It'd be perfect (with the exception of bad boys LOL! Be a bit weird, teenage girls with not much experience singing about that, seeing as thats not how they tried to be portrayed 'they wont steal your boyfriends - but they like bad boys! '

little mix could prove to be the next cash cow for syco, for all the reasons you have stated. i do get your drift, with that duet, she was a true star that night, both them were in different ways. simon`s face was a picture, ka-ching!

not after album 1, I was referring to what elton john said. In the long run, she's best away from syco. I should have put that bit in. I dont think she had much battling to do, lol, she seemed to almost be allowed to have a joint deal. Its almost like they offered her the option. Apparently matt had the option to co-sign to columbia after he won. Or either her lawyers presented syco with another option, an alternative contract. anything could have happened. I was taken aback when I heard she was no longer a full Syco artist! She sold well, but if the next one did a pixie lott.... perhaps *obviously not now, but hypothetically* bye bye Alex?? and if LP2 did flop and she was a full syco artist, no label would touch her, as if she cant sell here, where else can she sell? But hopefully we wont have to think like that for her or leona!

yes it was
She gave him the best final ever IMO. I dont think any other has topped it, it even had the americans watching i.e the US online bloggers, you know those that hawk beyonce LOL
and they liked the whole thing and were glad she won, and they even said it was nice!
After that final I was surprised that he didnt go nuts and push for her US launch...beyonce was on a world tour in 2009, overcome could have been (and I think it was at a point until it was pushed back) promoted via it, alex as the support act. Mini-beyonce? after all beyonce did say she was on tour soon and 'hopes to see this lady there' which pretty much was an open invitation. but, its 2011 now and 2012 next week and we've got loads to look forward to!

In short, leona isnt past it at all. she needs to really focus (material wise) in the next 2 and a bit months to make sure glassheart is perfect and get on US TV! we cant have 1D and cher there without leona showing them how its done!

Expect a big fall in the charts this coming Sunday.I think the people who were going to buy this single have already bought it after the X-factor (+ RV) performance. This becoming a common thing with people who are associated with X-factor.High chart placing when they have been on the show OR when an artist's song has been sung on the show, big fall down the charts a week or two after - therefore overall sales are not that great compared to other long term chart long term 'stayers'.X-factor's audience has dropped this year - but 13 Million still watched the final this year with Leona on it.

It's a fact that Leona still relies on X-factor / Royal Variety Performance (which $yco also backs heavily) to keep her exposure high.Apart from BBC Radio 2 (which have also gone a bit cold on her as well) she has very little other large backing outside of $yco / Talback TV / ITV etc.

Thought her performance / song on X-factor was terrible although a little bit better on RVP (although not much). Was very surprised it got to No.8 in chart's even - which is why I expect a chart collapse on Sunday - only hardcore followers will be interested / no casual interest

it hardly requires miss maple to figure that one out. she currently stands #75 on itunes. in all honesty, its not surprising. there`s no video and radio is not playing the ep, as you pointed out.
