Are you asking buy the CD, or download from a legit site like iTunes - or an illicit site?

Just can't be bothered downloading MP3's anymore, used to do it the old fashioned way from binary newsgroups. Am more into quality than quantity now and happier to just buy the CD.

It is always better to have the CD, rather than a copy of it from MP3. However, that said, if there's an album I just want to listen to, I will download it first to see if it's any good. If I rate that album high enough, I will usually get the CD.

As for downloading from a pay site... Why pay the same price as the CD, when all you get is the tracks? Surely your £10 or so would be better spent on getting the album in the first place!

The CD definitely, as you get much better quality, plus you actually own something that will last longer than an MP3 - e.g. if your hard disk fails and you lose the lot.

You should always back up your data!

I prefer to buy albums anyway.

The physicality of the original case, inlay card, lyrics and mailer beats downloaded stuff hands down.
