Gosh I'll say..... Simon clearly has a soft spot for Verity, but I believe that ego is never far away, and he'd more enjoy seeing if he could make a gentle person like her - like him! I bet he thinks, now *I'm* the one who could really take your mind off your divorce! He knows exactly how emotional and vulnerable she is and so he thinks if he turns on the charm, flirts, and teases in a gentle and sympathetic way, she'll think awwww, he does have a soft heart after all and be so grateful she'll fall into his arms! Voila!

I agree with people that Simon has a soft spot for Verity. He was like that with Michelle...but I wonder how much of it is staged? It's certainly got the tongues wagging.

Did you see on ITV2 when they did the section on what do you like most/least about your judge?? And Verity, when asked what she liked most about Simon, replied that he seemed to like her!! Ah-ha!! The plan is working!!!
