Not that this would be an answer to her stay in rehab, but I was wondering whether it was something like glandular fever?..It would explain why she isn't seen with them very often and resting a lot...

Not sure what was up with Frankie as miming is not that tiring surely?

Also, her comments in the On Your Radar sleeve to Wayne Bridge were a bit poor taste considering all the poo she had over Dougie.

but we have been waiting nearly 4 years now.... how much longer are the general public supposed to wait for them to get it right?...

or maybe, they just cant live upto the hype....

I am sure the general public have more interesting things to do with their time than wait for the Saturdays . . .

However, if you are into a group surely you like them for what they represent to you. If you only like them if they are top 10 or sell a million albums then that is silly.

They should be bigger, yes. They are good looking, sound okay, release good singles but have mediocre album tracks.

They need a fiercer attitude and a stand out sound.

I think Frankie will leave some time next year to go solo. Whether they stay around after that will depend on whether Una is still available for another album and round of promotions after Una Junior comes along. For me they have never gone unduly downhill, although Notorious and All Fired Up were my least fave consecutive singles of theirs to date. (They were back on top form for My Heart Takes Over though).

If Frankie does leave to go solo I wonder how long her solo career would last? My prediction for The Saturdays is that they'll release a Hits album and then go on hiatus for a year or two and then come back with a killer album and new sound.

Frankie is the weakest sing in the group, so she would need a lot of help if she went solo, she would flop.

Its odd how nobody knows why Frankie was in rehab as normally somebody leaks this stuff to the press.

I like The Saturdays but sadly I don't see them being around this time next year. They'll release a single, couple months away, another single then a greatest hits album and possibly final tour before ending around November time.

As for this whole Saturdays v Little Mix thing. Do we really need it? As someone said we have 3 boybands and any time we have more than one girlband they're pitted against each other.
I've liked Eternal, En Vogue, Spice Girls, All Saints etc. Even when it was Girls Aloud v Sugababes I liked both which is possible. None of this competition with each other crap.
I like The Saturdays but, depending on material, I could also like Little Mix. I was impressed by some of their performances on the show although the winners single is crap but that's not their fault.

She was in hospital rather than rehab wasn't she? I think the press probably know why, but they're keeping quiet because its a sensitive subject. Or they're just keeping quiet for now in exchange for the exclusive story from her later on.

No theyre not over. Their career is moving at a nice pace. They're not one of these bands who has a massive debut single then disappears. Theyve been working really hard for 4 years. Theyve build a good solid fanbase. Their latest album is really good, just released at a bad time, and hopefully if they work on it right they can increase sales of it with a good single (For Myself would be my choice)

As I don't watch XF I've never seen any of Little Mix's performances, but hopefully their second single will be good.

With regards to their current album flopping, I reckon if they'd released it straight after All Fired Up, it would have done a hell of a lot better as that song was quite popular and there would have been less competition (Same for Pixie Lott who should have release YFH straight after AAT)!

As for there sngles, I believe they need better ones! If they'd have been given Echo (Girls Can't Catch) or Freedom (Sugababes 4.0), I genuinely believe that with the right promo, they could have taken both these songs to number 1!

Another thing, Frankie has always seemed like the most unlikeable member, especially after the her/Dougie McFly saga. Does anyone think The Saturdays could do better as a 4-piece?

Apparently they're going to record their fifth album in March.

I don't know whether you watched I'm A Celebrity this year, but Dougie was in the jungle. He said that his drinking had really got out of hand. I would assume that it put a huge strain on the relationship and she didn't know what to do...? Maybe she just meant that her life is less complicated now.

I love The Saturdays but something about how they're being managed (as usual) is wrong. Always wrong release choices (or at least, in the wrong order!).

I don't think they should be over though. They've done well....number 1's isn't everything, at the end of the day it's about how much money they generate overall as far as the label are concerned.

If they DID go on a break, unfortunately I agree that there would be no return. They would be forgotten, they don't quite have a big enough loyal fan base to do that yet.

All Fired Up was the biggest first week sales of a single yet. so why are so many people criticising their choice to make dance music? and Notorious got to number 5 with an on-air-on-sale release.

All Fired Up should have been the lead single from the album though, not Notorious!

It's not so much their choice to go dance that is the problem, they're doing it well and still producing quality tunes, but there has been a lot of erratic chopping and changing and silly management decisions. I think they might have a better chance of targeting a wider audience if they go back to their 'pop' roots for their next album though I will admit. It's the songs like 'Up' that they will be remembered for.

They also need to continue doing as much promotion and marketing as possible. They still need to do as many interviews and TV performances as they can to push every single/album.

they need to hurry up and bag themselves a number one before Girls Aloud come back on the scene.

Odd that so many people are willing to pay £25 to go see them on tour but don't bother buying their albums (which are PERFORMED on the tour!)

Where on earth are those stats from? Cardiff Arena doesn't have a capacity close to 12k, it's close to 5k seated (which IIRC The Sats was), and I know that The Sats weren't even using the whole arena too when looking at many free tickets.
