Has anyone ever heard of...
....Tearing fruit for gravy. I'm a bit confused. Does that mean fruit juice goes into gravy. Its definitely a new one. I've not heard of fruit juice in gravy. Can anyone back this up?

Squeezing lemon and orange into gravy is fairly common. As is using cider/apple juice. Also preserves such as redcurrent jelly.

Well, I usually put some white wine in chicken gravy and also a slug of port in the turkey gravy so you could say that's a bit of fruit!

I must say that the idea of clementine juice in the gravy for turkey doesn't appeal to me. Think I'll stick to the slug of dry sherry and dollop of cranberry sauce that I usually add.
