Who would you name as the best ever male celeb dancer and the best ever female celeb dancer on SCD?
Which do you think was their best dance (ignoring the judges' scores)?

I'll kick off with:
Best Female Celeb Dancer: Kara Tointon (Rumba)
Best Male Celeb Dancer: Matt Di Angelo (Salsa)

Kara, without a doubt.

Male? Hmmmm, not sure - but just off the top of my head at the moment - maybe Colin Jackson who should have won and probably would have done were it not for puppet dance.

So many good females but Denise and Rachel are those I remember best and after this series Chelsee will join that very exclusive club with her:
enchanting AS, her incredible paso and seductive rhumba.
Denise - quick step and tango.
Rachel - rhumba, VW and AT.

Males Mark R and Colin Jackson.

Marka - salsa (what else) AT and showdance.
Colin - best male rhumba ever and fantastic quickstep.

I have to say Jill Halfpenny for the girls

and for the boys - it is a tight call - but for ability mixed with performance skills - Tom Chambers

Jill's jive

Tom's Showdance at Foxtrot and quickstep

Best Ever Female- Kara or Rachel I'd say.
Best Ever Male- Matt Di Angelo (minus his foxtrot f**k-up)

Jill or Alesha for the girls - just brilliant and I don't feel like anyone's come close to them, even good dancers like Chelsee.

For the boys - Tom Chambers or Austin Healey.

Best Female Celeb Dancer; Kara Tointon

Best Male Celeb Dancer: Mark Rampkarash

How do you define best? Best in terms of techniques acquired in ballroom dancing? Best in terms of entertainment? Or best in combination of both the techniques acquired and ability to inject entertainment in their dance routine?

I would say Kara is definitely the best female celeb dancer we have of all the SCD series thus far.

I struggle to think who might be the best male celeb. Mark Ramprakash was good in his latin, but not very good in his ballroom. But there was this naturalness about him when he danced. Ricky was technically excellent in his ballroom and latin dances but I don't 'connect' to him when he danced. Harry was very competent in his ballroom hold and sway and he had a fantastic sense of rhythm, but his latin was merely okay, and I still don't feel I want to see any of his dance on repeat (except his quickstep).

No, no male celebrity had yet been able to exhibit both technique and performance to wow me thus far...

Female is a difficult one as I think Alesha, Rachel and Kara have all been fab.

Male : Matt Di Angelo (Waltz, Salsa, American Smooth, Rumba, Quickstep...all excellent, as was his Jive which was done on week 2 and I think would have been brilliant if he had it later in the series)

I'll go with this although to be fair, Colin's failure to win was actually the public's "fault" . (Step away from the Gough doll and put down the pins tabitha.)

Best female Kara and Rachel equally I think.

Kara American Smooth (still my fav ever dance on Strictly)
Rachel Argentine Tango (right music right dress right choreography)

Best male

Much more difficult as someone else said there isnt one that ticks all the boxes for me.

My favourite male celeb was Gethin but I dont think he was best dance wise although his ballroom was very very good. On dancing terms I think it would have to be Ricky Whittle he didnt wow me personality wise but he was a fantastic dancer and probably him not winning was really the greatest travesty in Strictly history.....sorry Ricky.
