He really is! Lulu was actually looking quite good in that clip; I think Pasha can teach anyone and everyone how to dance. God he is perfect.

Well Northern or not, here are her own words on her acting prowess..

"When I'm acting, It's just me being me."

That ain't acting love, but you share the same talent as many in soaps and that's playing yourself!

Why? How would that have been worse? Physique-wise they would've been better suited, wouldn't they?

What did she do wrong? She only admitted that they both had their eyes on other partners, and I'm sure everybody comes out of that first group dance rehearsal with a personal preference for a partner, that's only normal. Why lie about it? Also, they didn't get along. That was very obvious. These things happen, usually it's mutual, and again, why lie and pretend otherwise?
I didn't like her conduct on the launch show, neither did I like the fact that she didn't have the good manners to thank Brendan when they were eliminated, but I really can't see the problem here?

This should be written in big illuminated letters at the top of every DS thread.
(Another reason to admire Brendan. Never expected to like the big lummox, but I do. )

Lulu.....Umm..there is a long and probably on going thread in the showbiz forum about which famous celebs have you met...and what were they like.....There were the usual responses from fans as well as those who worked in the industry or their jobs meant they had to speak to these celebs...ie air Hostess`s..etc..etc.

Most of the really famous celebs had mixed reviews....eg Brucie or Paul McCartney....surprisingly no one had a bad word to say about Heather Mills....or even Camilla Duchess of Cornwall.....In fact everyone who met Camilla seemed to think she was very witty and engaging.

On the other hand no one....and I really do mean no one, had one good word to say about Lulu.....but by far the most scathing comments were about Cilla Black

Both Brendan and Lulu appear to be a nightmare. It was therefore appropriate that they were paired together.

Can someone just clarify...what did Lulu say on Loose Women exactly? Just she would've preferred Pasha and Brendan would've preferred Holly? That's hardly the worst thing in the world. I'm sure she wasn't dismissing Chelsee out of hand, either. If any other celebrity said they would've preferred another partner the celebrity who was with that professional probably wouldn't have been considered...look at how people on here put Brendan with Holly without thinking about Lulu.

This has probably been asked before, every year, sorry. But I'm curious. Who decides the pairs and what are the criteria? Is it a dance matter or just to do with celebrity appeal? A lot of people say things like 'Artem's due an Edwina', or 'Aliona is due a Bernard Manning', and 'Vincent deserves a Kara', etc. Is there a kind of taxi rank or a rota?

Some of the pairings seemed really good, such as Flavia and Russell (for character reasons), or the three finalist pairings (for dance and / or character reasons). But others were dreadful mismatches in just about every way, such as Brendan / Lulu. Not in height, not in temperament, not in any way were they a good match.

Lulu is getting all the blame on these forums - they clearly rubbed each other up the wrong way and Brendan was far from generous when he pretended to forget her name.

Some of the pro dancers are getting above themselves.

I read that and the one that sticks in my mind is Jimmy Carr - I find him intolerably smug and unfunny on the telly but I've hadn't heard a bad word about him on that thread. He is apparently lovely in real life. Funny enough John Barrowman mostly comes out smelling of roses too.

Mostly SCD folk come out of it quite well actually

Not sure whether you're being sarcastic or ironic. Lulu is a has been, so technically a nobody trying to revive a career. As for accents, not sure how old you are, but I remember when an interpreter was needed for Lulu's thick Nisbet accent.

I am not surprised that Brendan wanted to dance with Holly. She is hard working, doesn't complain and enjoys being thrown out of her comfort zone. She would have been perfect for him - but her partnering with Artem was brilliant too and they gave us "The Black Swan" which was fab-u-lous. Lulu, on the other hand, whinges to anyone who will listen to her in the media about how hard it is, how her partnering with Brendan was not good, the chemistry wasn't there and blah de blah de blah. I expect she really wanted a pash with Pash (Lucy Elastic is a good name for her or Martini - any time, any place, anywhere). She was on Loose Women on Wednesday bemoaning her fate, plugging her cosmetics and generally showing off and playing her sweet little me" routine and constantly sticking her tongue out - which I assume she thinks is cute and sexy. As I said in another post - she doesn't fool me for one second.

Sometimes I can feel very indifferent to Brendan, sometimes not like him one series and then other series the opposite. But this year I was completely on his side and I think he was quite lovely this series (with all the three women that he danced with) and Lulu should have been much better towards him. Glad that Brendan actually got to dance with two lovely ladies this year in Holly and Anita (after Lulu went).

I suspect sarcasm wasn't the right word. Irony is probably better - no, it doesn't mean like a metal.

For future reference, the irony emoticon is a space followed by a backspace.

i think holly would probably have done better with brendan - it would have spared her the dour, humourless, gulag style attentions of artem

Am curious about the article you mention above (as I couldnt get the link to work....

It says 3 couples not talking to each other.... Who if you dont mind me asking..

Am presuming two were Anton/Nancy and Brendan/Lulu but who are the other pair?
