The Artem/Holly one isn't true, they are still friends and while Katya and Dan may have had some issues in training I don't think theres any issue between them outside of it.

I've read that thread as well and the only people who come out of it worse than Lulu does are Cilla as you already mentioned, and Anthony Cotton.

Lulu is apparently very unpleasant to shop assistants and there are certain shops in London where the staff dread seeing her walk through the doors.

I find her very fake, insincere and deluded. Not to mention how ridiculous she looks. 63 years of age and still trying to dress like a teenager, and lets not get me started on her face. She resembles a chipmunk more and more every time I see her.

Needless to say it's no surprise she didn't gel with Brendan, though i'm not sure she'd gel with anyone really. She's probably pissed off he doesn't fancy her, as she also seems to think she's still attractive, not that she ever was anyway

Me too, please. Where do we find the thread? I'd heard that about Cilla as well and I think if you watched her interview with Piers Morgan you would pretty much have picked up the diva stuff. Interesting that both she and Lulu had their own variety type shows on the television at roughly the same time in the seventies.

Going to Brendan's show this month and he does a Q & A session. Every time I've seen it somebody has asked him who his worst partner was and he always makes a joke of it and sort of mentions Fiona Phillips but in a really nice way. No prizes for guessing who this time. Strange isn't it that Lulu, who I don't think is a stupid woman, so misjudged Brendan's popularity and what she saw as her own diva status and got things so wrong? As I've said before, she truly is one of the few celebrities that appearing on Strictly has had a negative impact rather on rather than boosting their popularity.

On the first show, Lulu could be heard saying that she wanted James. Maybe she didn't mean as a teacher.

I'm amazed that she imagined that she'd have a choice. Felt sorry for Brendan but wouldn't have wished her on anyone else, either !

On the face of it, this looks like a bit of a non-story. As I recall, in the launch show quite a few celebs and pros made what I assumed to be jokey remarks about their preferences. Not only did Lulu say she wanted James, but I think Artem and James both said they wanted Lulu (you can see why I think these remarks were jokey...)

On top of that, Brendan and Lulu were clearly mis-matched as their height difference actually got in the way of good dancing (erm, yes, I know Lulu's lack of dancing talent was more of an issue). I'm sure she was a nightmare to work with (thanks for the info about the juicy showbiz thread) so the remarks she's making now seem relatively benign.
