Emmedale Mysteries
There are so many mysteries in that village of Emmerdale. Storylines are often dropped so suddenly leaving us wondering what's happened. Also, there are so many little silly things in the show that just wouldn't happen in real life.
Firstly, what's happened to Shelley?! Then there is Gloria Pollard. What's happened to her, because she has never been mentioned or spoke of again. And when she left it was quite dramatic ie. was she dead or what? I would have thought Pollard would have been determined to find out what happaned to her instead he doesn't seem to care. Will Gloria be returning to the show? Also, what always puzzles me is Shop/Cafe. The shop is often unattended when Emily is through in the Cafe. And you never actually see Emily or Donna cooking anything. I remember in one episode Emily was able to do a whole fry-up in less than a minute! Also, where about is the Malt Shuvvle exactly? It is occasionaly spoken about, but its obviously a lame attempt at some old continuity within the show - i.e "mention the malt shuvvle so older viewers will remember it!" lol. I always though the Malt Shuvvle was in Beckindale/Emmerdale, but is it in another village now... Has this pub ever been seen? Seth and Betty - will they EVER return? So many questions... |

we find out what happens to shelley in time, and gloria did actually rip eric off of a lot of money which nearly sent him into bankrupcy and selling the factory, hence steph owning soem of it. she sent eric a video it showed her spending his money and having the time of her life in some carribean island, it was a bit silly but worked.

The Malt Shovel was definately in the village at one point, I clearly remember Seth going there to drink when he's been banned from the Woolpack years ago - there was always a big rivalry between the two pubs, I'm nearly sure the landlords name was Ernie Somethingorother. I'm not a hardcore Emmerdale watcher, so I can't be certain the it wasn't destroyed during the plane crash and rebuilt somewhere else (or just perhaps they forgot to include it when the built the whole village set
)

I wish Gloria would come back, her and Eric were my favourite couple in it! So funny, and their wedding was hilarious, especially the photo with everyone looking miserable.
I'm glad they keep leaving the door open, for most characters they wouldn't keep doing this. |

The biggest mystery is why a village the size of Emmerdale would need 2 pubs

she was great, she was dramatic as well, however i feel that video was really bad, over the top and cheesey. it was a poor exit for gloria, but the story before that was good.

I had heard that Seth is ill and would not be returning to the series. The actor is quite old, isn't he? Maybe he has retired.

I think many small villages have lots of pubs - there's a village near me that's probably just a bit bigger than Emmerdale and that has 3 of them! |

He's in boarding school - hence him appearing randomly every so often.

What IS amazing is how a small village can have a cafe without it being empty most of the time
. Or how a country pub - the majority of which are quiet - needs such huge staff numbers.Oh well, not that I'm complaining! |

Gloria Polland, I don't really know. I expect that the character is done and dusted, and Eric has had less mention of Gloria in recent months anyway. The Malt Shuvvle is in the village, though I can't work out where it fits in. It has never been the main pub, but has been refered to by the Dingles when they have been barred from the Woolpack. Diane's mentioned it as well. Seth and Betty. Both actors are away through ill health, they are meant to be in Austrialia, visiting Kathy. Betty has started filming in late September so a late Oct./ early November return is on the cards. Seth is expected to return early next year, though Christmas has been mentioned. |

Who lives in Emmerdale Farm? Jack sold it to the Irish Chap who Louise killed. Andy lives in another farm rented off Home farm
