I'm sick of Christmas full stop, LOL!

But this is the first year I've turned the radio off when a Christmas song plays; it's relentless!

I'm sick of walking into a supermarket and hearing the usual clichéd Christmas songs.

The problem is that NEW Christmas songs get No support from record companies these days so you end up hearing the same songs year in year out. I'm supporting one such 'new' song this year (Florin St Band - My Favourite Time of Year)

Originally released in 2010 with NO RECORD COMPANY backing due to X-Factor, it's now supporting ITV's Text Santa appeal with ALL profits 2 10 UK charities.

The problem is, MAINSTREAM RADIO are choosing (once again) to disregard the song as if it didn't exist (due to the small record label). It's had NO AIRPLAY what-so-ever and requests for the song have been ignored. As you can imagine, this has a big impact on sales which affects all the charities benefiting from sales.

So you can see now how hard it is to get a NEW Christmas song in the charts these days which is why we have to settle for listening to the old ones year in year out on our radios?

If you want to have a listen & possibly support the song, please visit http://www.itv.com/textsanta/news/florin-street-band/
