I notice that the Coop are doing packs of 10x440ml cans of lager for £6.50, while Asda are doing 12x440ml cans for £7.

50p extra for 2 extra cans at Asda.

Not as good as the deals used to be. The ASDA deal is 58p per can. It used to be 51p.

Tesco and ALDI sell 500ml cans for 56p a can. A better deal over all.

The ALDI Galahad tastes like Carling. The Tesco one has a funny taste. More ale-y. Add a bit of lemonade and it's ok. Galahad comes in 4 packs.

The Tesco one comes in 4 packs and a 12 pack. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/sho...=tesco%20lager

If you want a real beer bargain get the 20 x 250ml stubbies pack of Asda biere de luxe. it's about £6 and very nice 4.8% premium imported French beer.

Much nicer than the usual Carling/Fosters/Stella muck.

I don't buy supermarket beer very often (prefer to drink in pubs) but I do like to stock up the cupboard under the stairs when the beer packs are on special offer.

I've been disappointed with the offers this week. Tesco had 3 x 12 bottle packs for £20. I'm sure last year they were boxes of 18.

Just because it's French doesn't make it premium.

I don't remember saying it did. Premium to me means higher strength and quality than standard.

You must have missed the bit of your own post where you call it a premium imported beer.

I did because that's what it is. A darned sight more 'premium' than UK brewed Stella anyway.

At £3 for 10 bottles? Really?

What has the price got to do with it? Paying rip off prices doesn't automatically get you a premium quality beer.

Presumably you'd call bottled Peroni a premium beer then?

Personally I think the Asda beer is nicer.

I'm a sucker because I have different tastes to you?

Who made you the arbiter of taste?

No, I was stating a fact, not an opinion.

You'd better let Asda know then as it definitely says premium on the box: http://images.mysupermarket.co.uk/Pr.../89/110689.jpg
