What do you personally think the saturdays should do next?

Quickly get this album out the way and release ANOTHER album in 2012 (a year that is shaping to be a difficult and jam packed year)

or

Try and promote this album with maybe a deluxe version, a few new songs and aim for a number 1 single?

or

Go quiet on the music scene, maybe a haitus with a DEFINATE RETURN CLAUSE?

or

(Long Shot) Release a album with all their singles on to the US with 1 or 2 new songs for the EU and UK fans.. (my personal favourite idea)

For Myself and Get Ready Get Set should be singles. they'd increase album sales

I hope they don't give up on the album just yet. There's so many single-worthy tracks on there: Get Ready Get Set, White Lies, Faster, The Way You Watch Me etc. I don't want a re-release though, not when they've already got such strong tracks at their disposal.

I don't really know what they should do after that. I suppose a greatest hits is the best option, maybe next summer so there's not too much competition. They need a really killer lead single though - preferably something by Xenomania.

The Saturdays messed up way, way back at the start of their career. Their first single 'If This Is Love' was really decent for a first single. 'Up' was a great second single and then 'Issues' was a fantastic pop song!! It felt like they were growing as a band. They had their own identity and started to have a unique sound as well. Each track they released was getting better and better and they were going in a good direction and started to show progression. 'Work' was then supposed to have been released and it would have been a huge hit for them...they even started to promote it. But then their label scrapped it and made them release 'Just Can't Get Enough' for Children In Need which was horrific...they came across as just as your average cheesey, pop girl band. They then went back and released 'Work' next, but the promotion was all over the place and the video was released so late.

Now instead of forgetting about the last two releases and going back to the kind of music of their first three singles which was working well, they made a major cock up and went in a completely different direction for album two. They started to go all dance pop. 'Forever Is Over', 'Missing You'...awful. Then they released 'Higher' with a bloody rapper featured on it. WTF were their label thinking?!!

Then their latest album is another step further to full on dance. It's ridiculous. Their label are terrible. Their first three singles are the best in my opinion. Mistakes were made after that!!

Subtley is not your strong point

I would take them to the rest of Europe and then Australia, All fired up and The way you watch me could be the singles, but before that they need damage control in the UK, so first release the way you watch me and go on a blitz of a promo trail, in every interview insist the album is out.
That should strengthen sales a little.
Then after they've concquered Europe and Oz, take them to America, get them all over the place on the radio, then do a massive promo tour with All fired up as lead, with the huge amount of promo this should at least get them in the US charts, THEN release The way you watch me, promo like crazy and then hopefullly it'll be a hit, then release the album and make the final single White lies, then to round it off release either Get ready get set or Notorious, then begin work on a new album.

What is it with all the threads about The Saturdays? Poor mans Spice Girls.

They should have never released "My Heart Takes Over". I love "Notorious" but it wasn't the right lead single, they should have released "All Fired Up" and then the album. There was no need to release 3 singles leading up to the album.

I honestly don't know what the future holds for them. They've confirmed they're releasing a new single, but I think after that, because of Una, they'll go on a break for about 12-15 months and come back.

seriously though...they are stuck in a rut, not quite making it big, they need a strong change or pack up.

Release one more single then take a break and work out what theyre sound is, what their brand is etc , which is what they should have done before this album which kinda flopped

Its just feels like its song after song, without any connection. feels like 5 individuals girls singing a song

At least Girls Aloud looked like they loved every song they sang and truly were united as a group

They should release one more song off this album then go on a hiatus so Una can have her baby and so the others can sort themselves out (mainly Frankie and Mollie) then if members need replacing, the hiatus is the time to do so

I think I would re-release On Your Radar with a few new songs, promote the album and aim for a No 1.

If I were their label I'd look at their most successful singles and pinpoint exactly why these songs connected with the public. I'd then get the girls in the studio and work on some really solid music. Not throwing an album out there after a few month, but putting together a real quality album. Instead of making them jump on the bandwagon, have them find their own style and sound. Even if that means going away for a year and just getting their heads down in the studio and working solid, with new and upcoming producers maybe, to get together a fantastic album.

The label need to invest in these girls and take the risk, they need to put money towards them and get them some of the top producers and songwriters. But I don't know whether the label would be prepared to take the financial risk on an album that might flop. These days labels don't invest in their artists enough. Years and years ago, if an artist underperformed the label wouldn't just drop them like a hat, they'd invest more into them and keep working until they become a success.

Not to compare The Saturdays to him at all, but Elton John I'm pretty sure said that he hadn't done as well as expected with his debut album but his label invested in him and kept working with him and tried to give him the best songs and his second album went on to be a really big success.

They are pretty much factory pop – churning out rubbish singles and albums year after year. Lets face it they have not really connected with the British Public – never will. Horrible lot – all of em jus wannabes and it shows – big time!

I would take Mollie and Una, you lot can have the rest.

I would do either of the following:

Release a Greatest Hits. This will hopefully attract casual buyers who like a few of their songs, but not enough to buy an album of original material. I would offer a couple of versions, with bonus tracks and a DVD of the videos or something that will make the greatest hits seem more appealable to the public, not just the fans.

Or I would take a break, so that Una can spend time with her baby, and plan/prepare/have her wedding . Meanwhile, still keeping in the public eye, by attending premieres , snd doing the occassional festival and summer gigs so that the public do still realise that they are around. With this going on, I would also definately take their time with the album. Even a couple of years, like Sugababes with TIMW, and make sure they are both progressing, yet not alienating the fans. Then I would come back with a bang, with maybe a couple of gigs showcasing some songs off the new album, and try to encourage new fans to hear them live (making sure Vanessa sorts her voice out!)
I would promote the hell out of it, and then they might be able to gain a larger fan base.

I feel though, that the Greatest Hits is the best idea at the moment, although the latter idea I much prefer

In one of the flips from a few weeks ago, Rochelle confirmed they'd be going to America next year.
She never said what for, But it's more than likely for talks of releasing over there, they've got a fan base there believe it or not.

That's just mean - to be honest.

If you were at the Wembley show, you'd of seen how much it meant to them. Connecting with the crowd, hugging eachother, crying, it was an emotional night for them.

They don't breath arrogance, after all, they've had to graft from the bottom up.
