Large Capacity Mp3 Player That Is Not An iPod
I have an iPod Classic 120gb that my music collection has now outgrown and I am looking for a replacement as I hate having to choose what music to leave behind. The problem is that the large capacity market is quite limited when you want to move away from an Apple product for something different.
I bought a Cowon X7 which I had to return because it was faulty so that has put me off Cowon products. I looked at Archos but they do not seem to get good reviews from users so I am apprehensive about getting one. Has anyone any ideas as I currently have my music split between my iPod and my Creative Zen. PS My desire to move away from Apple is not snobbery but a desire for a change. Apple products are very good but when you want a change, you want a change and that's it. |

I have a couple of friends at work who both have archos players and no issues that they have mentioned.

It takes some doing to outgrow 120GB.
With the classic being the one Apple product that has hi-fi sound I suggest you simply upgrade the hard drive. |

I have an Archos and had no problems. It is still going strong after all these years.
