Weird Conflict Issue

Hi all, just plugged my Foxsat 500 back in after a year of not using it, and updated to latest software, did a factory reset and set it all up again.

Checked that it records on 108 and 109 at the same time, and allows me to pause another channel, so pretty sure its working as it should.

OK, so, went into Guide, and selected Eastenders for tomorrow night, 23rd Dec. Hit enter, and it offered SD or HD, chose SD, and then Record Whole Series.

It then said it has a conflict, but with 2 different BBC 1 channels, 956 and 957, Oxford and NI I think. The conflicts were oddly with Eastenders for the 25th both at 9pm on the 25th. So I guess it was telling me I could not record my BBC 1 (953 East) as well as those two on the 25th, except I have no scheduled programmes at all, let alone 2 of the same channel on Xmas day!!!

Oh, and it had Cancel New Reservation, with the Two conflicts underneath, but no way to delete the two underneath, so I could only cancel the new reservation.

So, I thought I would just delete the 956 and 957 channels from my station list, and this sort of worked, except now, the conflict was with another 2 different BBC channels!

So I deleted ALL the BBC 1 channels except my local one, and that has solved it for now, except I am curious as to what is going on, and if I can solve it another way (I often want to watch local news on another BBC 1 channel)

Cheers

Kev

My Foxsat used to do this, it stopped doing it around a year ago, never did find out why.

one re way to stop this is to delete the regions you don't want.

It's normally as a result of programmes in a different region to yours having the same series crid and a differerent programme crid. In some cases it's because a specific region might be showing a different episode so the box tries to record both

Yes I used to get the same thing but hadn't actually been aware that it had stopped - maybe it has, maybe it hasn't!

Whatever the cause, it was/is a pain in the backside.
