Ruth Lorenzo - Where are u?

I loved her performances, seen her live and have tried to keep up-with her news and progress. But over the years she is slowly slipping away into oblivion. She once had an EMI contract and promise of an album and did release single called burn. She has a truly wonderful voice, but I fear its all to late now and has missed her chance. Anybody know different?

She seems to be doing a lot of gay clubs. Airwaves sorely miss her!

She did the Nottingham gay pride show in the summer not heard anything since. Fab voice , very versatile, theres a u tube clip of her singing opera but my favourite has to be "purple rain"

Wige2002, I do hope your right about an album next year. But having seen promise release dates come and go I am not optimistic. I live in hope.

I remember it was supposed to be out at the end of 2009, then it was pushed to March 2010, then late 2010, then it was supposed to be August 2011, and nothing. She has so much talent but unless she hurries up and releases something she doesn't stand a chance.

I wonder where she would have been today if she never left EMI.

I adore Ruth, but she kinda blew it big time. The hype about her is gone and none of her stuff will be a success sadly. She is kinda forgotten.

I wish she just stayed with Emi

She's working. Follow Rhino Events on Twitter. Seems to be in touch with her.

Lovely lady, amazing talent, can't help but think wrong competition.

Ruth was one of the few x-factor rejects that was actually worthy of a record contract. It makes me laugh when people are signing petitions to get Sophie a record contract when she reallycouldn't sing live and at best had a pretty ordinary voice. Ruth on the other hand was a great live singer, an exceptional voice and plenty of song writing ability. I'd be prepared to buy her album once it is released.

Hanging out with Aiden, Dannii Minogue, Laura White and Cheryl Cole.

All of whom have had new albums out "soon"

Wondering why she was such a bitch to Alexandra. What was she thinking? Falling out with the alexandra when she knew Alexandra was going to be big? Now she is left wondering what would have happened if she never fell out with her...maybe Alexandra would have helped her? Who knows... A shame because I used to love rulandra

Simon Cowell is an idiot. She had the potential to be massive if they used the Spanish thing to her advantage. I could have easily imagine her having a worldwide selling album doing very well. I don't understand why that year Cowell snubbed those contestants because last year they signed five finalists, but that year only two?? Stacey, Danyl and Ruth warranted being signed in my opinion.

Alexandra wouldn't help anyone because we all know she can't see past her own ego ok.com

Oh get over yourself, you can't blindly blame Alexandra for lack of material from Ruth.

I agree with that but i also don't understand why no other label has snapped her up either I suppose its all down to the market. Can make a bomb out of One Direction due to their young following ( even if they are cr*p singers )

He was absolutely clueless as to what to do with her... in her brief time on the show she was "reinvented" more times than Madonna

I know many people loved the "rock Chick" incarnation but I think she was far better than that and totally wasted on there. Pity the Voice has come along too late...

Yes but they aren't marketing their voices...

And to be fair only one of them is really bad the rest are passable in that genre these days.

Why?? Not everyone enjoys throwing money down the drain.

Exactly if she was as good as some claim on here, wouldn't she have been signed by another label?

If she was going to do well, she would have without the help of Simon or any other big shot.

They did; she was signed to Virgin/EMI but left to be an independent artist apparently.
