Setting up a used iPad on a laptop
Hi, my friend has recently bought a second hand iPad and has been having problems using it with her iTunes account. She has the latest version installed on her laptop but when the iPad is connected, a window opens to say it cannot be used because it requires iTunes 10.1 or later.
Is it possible to use a second hand device with an existing iTunes account and how do you get the latest version of iTunes on the iPad? Any help would be appreciated. |

The iPad being second hand should not be causing any problems.
If you select 'settings' 'general' then scroll to the bottom and you can reset the iPad. To update iTunes (on your computer) select 'help' (top left and of iTunes) then click on 'check for updates' iTunes will then offer to download the latest version of iTunes(currently 10.5.2). Then when you connect the iPad you will be able to set up the iPad and update iOS (the operating system used on the iPad). |
