Yeah good point, The worst part about all that is there seems to be some really sweet people on there – there’s the odd extremists on both sides but the loys side aren’t given a break at all. If anything that would make him want to chat with them more i reckon.

Anyway i got the impression he’s been tentatively dipping his toe in the twitter waters, he’s tweeted a few times over the past while and then deleted a few but still and it seems a bit after there’s something on FB he tweets something but we shall see.

I saw the BGT thing on twitter, I had already seen that on FB but i wouldn’t have thought she’d still be with them, she was away for ages she’d surly have been replaced? Anyway they got through to the next stage so that’s good a great bit of publicity for them.

I used to work with a crowd a bit like that for a drinks company – setting up branding not dancing lol. One of the best things i’ve ever done working in clubs and at festivals with seriously talented people.

His love for the motherland is still strong i see, not sure the feeling is returned lol. Is it England via the Ukraine?

The crowd that Sherrie danced with got through to the next stage of BGT - they're like jugglers, stilt walkers, dancers etc.and Sherrie may perform with them but i don't know one way or the other. They may not be on, they don't show every act - it depends how far they get seemingly - a bit vague

His taste in music is appalling, I think we just have to make our peace with that lol

Will some kind soul please bump this for discussion tomorrow early tomorrow morning. I have a hospital appt on Thursday at the crack of dawn so discussion should finish at about 7 am on Thursday

2. What do you think could have been the catastrophic consequences of leaking information to the Russians?

3. One Bletchley codebreaker stated that the codes he worked on were passed on to another section and he wasn't curious as it wasn't any of his business. Is this a peculiarly British trait of the time or do you think it would hold true today? Does this 'Britishness' exist today?

4. The silence surrounding Bletchley Park was considered bery British. Neal Achison, whose sister worked at Bletchley thinks we wouldn't be able to keep such silence today. Do you agree? Why?

5. At Bletchley Park the codebreakers started musical societies, discovered art etc. What would the codebreakers of today do for leisure?

6. In today's multicultural Britain, do you think a film could stir the current generation to the patriotism of the Bletchley codebreakers?

7. Could the current generation rise to the challenge of Bletchley, considering the concentration and patience involved?

8. At the time the first codebreakers were recruited from the upper classes. Why? Who would the first people to be recruited today do you think?

9. After reading the book, what was your overall impression? Did it help you have a better understanding of the period? How?
