Thanks Diddididi for your posts. Speaking personally I didn't sign up for Loys as I'm not on twitter or FB.

I am very sad that there are splits and unpleasantness and people upset. I personally appreciate John but I actually think he doesn't really want to communicate with 'fans, appreciators whatever' on a regular basis. He always seemed a rather private person to me. If he wanted PR surely he would have engaged Mark or Sean to do this, after all that's the business they are in.

I just hate to see anyone upset and hope that the situation resolves itself. Disagreements in cyberspace are so much more difficult to resolve as you can't see the person face-to-face.

Hey, ask for one to be put on the list. Book groups are all about reading books you might not normally read. And I have never read a Stephen King, so suggest the one you think is the best.

It's sad for me as an outsider to see a group of John's long loyal supporters arguing. However, a lot of us from another thread have already been there - many times. I hope you can resolve those differences. What resolved it for me and others at the time was the friendships we'd made through the thread and, I know some of you might think this is sacrilege, but aren't those more important than how you support someone hundreds of miles away who, be honest (and this is me speaking as someone who's supported John in the past), has shown not a huge amount of interest in his fans? Personally, I respect his reasons for that, sad as it is. I love reading this thread for all sorts of reasons and it would be a shame if some of you stopped posting because of this.

As Alex says, different views can try to be respected without resorting to angry argument. If not, then anyone is welcome in TS. That's why we set it up, to give people who felt their views were no longer being treated with respect, a place to vent. TS has moved on from all that now and we rarely, if ever these days, discuss John or Josie. But we do discuss occasionally lots of other interesting things.

I know some people perceive my posts as being patronising. They are not meant to be. This is just a suggestion made kindly with lots of sympathy because I know what it feels like when a thread is at odds with itself.

Morning Kay, morning all. I think it will settle down, people have felt let down on both side's of the debate, but it's probably time to move forward now. I think we have to remember that at the heart of John James there is a very tender loving person and this person wanted to show his respect and appreciation for a group of people who have supported him. It seems like John singled them out, and this time he probably did but in the past, John as gone out of his way to make sure many different groups and individuals have benefited from his interactions. I remember when John had to cancel a PA - he found time later that evening to come on a web-cam and spend time with us,so we did not feel too let down. He is just a nice chap and wants to make people who care about him feel good. If he could get round each and every genuine supporter I am sure he would.

I agree with what you say about John. I wasn't being critical of him. It appears he's gone back to his life in Oz and is carrying on with it there. Fair enough! And I have no idea what his interaction is with the Loys, only what gets leaked out. So for all I know he may be chatting to them every day. To the rest of us, it just seems that he's moved on.

I have said all that I have to say,it is on a public forum.John James and all his fans can read it and make up their minds.I do not want this to drag other members on this thread.I am one of the two longest posters here and has respect for all those who are here.My loyalty lies with the JJAT,John James knows me from this thread and I just wanted to share an experience with them.Loys Forever created an opportunity for me to address this out side the group,that was your decision.At least I am not an egg on twitter venting out to you.I am a real person and you know who you are talking to.I stand by everything I have said and done.Can we please move on and let the JJAT get on with their debates?
