I am right there with you in that car - actually it reminds me of taking my own daughter to school - that was an hour's journey each way, but worth it as it was the right school for her. We didn't see any elephant's teeth but we did pass a small stone circle in the woods, more or less hidden from view.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. So pleased to see John tweet his good wishes.

Congratulations on new thread everyone.

Got back yesterday from our lovely Xmas break. It was so relaxing I put a load of laundry on, unpacked everything, had a cup of tea and fell asleep - didn't get up til 6.

Have a load of laundry on at the moment, had a cup of tea and have finished a book. Supermarket in a minute.

In case I'm not on until 2012. . . want to wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2012 - and to our favourite Aussie - hope we see you over in the UK next year. You are missed!

Aww thanks Lindy for being with me that is what every writer wants to hear.It all unfolds in an almost finished story called 'My first day at School'.You will be there with me I am sure.The problem is it not published yet so I cant give to you to read.That abstract is the central theme of the collection of autobiographical short stories.I am putting them together atm and in the summer I begin my hunt for an agent.(Interestingly I am very good at promoting other people and not myself lol)The journey will end with my visit to Uganda,to my Primary School which is about 9 km from Equator off Kampala and to the Equator off course as I have to cross it in December 2012.Lots of fascinating things in between. (The kids have already been)
