Did anybody else find last night's (23/12/2011) episode of Corrie really touching? The scenes with Becky and the Croppers really tugged at my heartstrings. With Becky thinking she's lost the people that have constantly supported her throughout her time there.

I'm really feeling for Becky, something I didn't do for a while but now it really shows what a vindictive, spiteful woman Tracey is and I can't wait for her to get her comeuppance.

Yes I agree.
And also touching was when her sister said she believed her and wanted her to come to the Nativity.

Lump in throat all the way through those Becky scenes for me.

I really felt for Becky last night, I love her character when the writers allow us to see her softer side.

Hayley doubting her was way out of character though and just another plot device to allow Becky to leave and give her reason to turn her back on Weatherfield for good.

Can't wait to see Toxic's world fall apart though.

I could identify with how Becky must have been feeling last night. Kylie went up in my estimation for showing some sensitivity and sisterly love to Becky. Ironically Becky would not have pushed past Hayley had Hayley not doubted her. "Royston" probably only suggested she left out of support for Hayley.

Yesterday's episode was nice for Katy giving birth, especially as it was at a nativity play!

I was nearly in tears during that scene. You could see the devastation in Becky's eyes when the one person she thought she could always rely on was starting to doubt her. Beautifully played by Katherine Kelly - she's right up there as one of the best actresses to ever grace the cobbles. I will sorely miss her.

katherine kelly was great last night and really tugged at the heart strings .. especially the scene in the cafe between her and roy and hayley! wow..

i must admit i went off becky a bit when she had another melt down mid-year, but she's gone back up to the top and i'll really miss becky on the street. She's been such a prominant character these last few years that it'd be impossible not to!

i just hope that she does get the happy ending she deserves!

Yeah I thought they were touching scenes and I really felt for Becky. Her character has grown on me a lot more since her break up with Steve.

Becky's character was so good with Royston and Hayley before she was put with Steve. I think that Katharine Kelly is a good actress and wish her well at the National Theatre next month.

Ruined it for me. Never more had I wanted to jump through the screen and strangle characters.

I think Katherine Kelly is a first rate actress. The problems I've had with Becky have mostly been with the way the character's been written.

I don't believe Hayley would doubt Becky so it didn't really resonate for me. Well acted though.

The scenes with the Croppers had to happen for us to see Becky pushed far enough to leave. If they remained her rock then why would she go anywhere else?

Personally I think Hayley having doubts about Becky WAS realistic.
