This occurred to me when seeing clips of the Silas storyline on the "best bits" show. Was Brendan charged with the deaths of all three of the girls at that point or just Rae's? I have missed a lot of episodes but know he was in prison and the with the reveal of Silas, assume was let out asap.

What evidence did Silas plant on Brendan, but most importantly, why? Was there some kind of vendetta?

He was charged with all the murders. Silas planted the murder weapon (the brick I think?) and Rae's necklace in Brendan's bedroom. He was kept in prison for a while after Silas' arrest because they still believed he might have killed Rae.

He set Brendan up a) Brendan had got involved and threatened him b) Brendan believed Lynsey and thought Silas was behind it all c) because he knew Rae was an enemy of his and was already a suspect for the other two girls

I think it was only Rae they could charge him with but everyone assumed that if he killed Rae, he must have killed the other girls too. I remember when Silas was caught they didn't release Brendan immediately because they still thought he may have killed Rae.

He had history with three (not Heidi) of the victims and they questioned him in the past, but Cheryl gave him a false alibi which was then questioned when Rae was found.

They also mentioned the murder weapon and searching his flat.

So I think they were going to try to pin them all on him, they had Rae's body in his car, motive for all and a false alibi for either India's or Bex's, I can't remember which..

Silas did it to get Brendan out of the way, for most of the year he was playing a game with Lynsey, it was fun for him to terrify her and play with her while the rest of the village through she was mad, but then Brendan believed her and he became a threat to Silas. Silas couldn't kill Brendan, so he framed him instead, but Brendan would never have stayed in jail, Silas wouldn't have been able to resist killing again, which would then question Brendan's guilt, which is exactly what happened in the end.

Thank you so much for clearing all this up!!

One other thing I wanted to know is, with Rae dying in the final episode of 'Later', how did the main show cross-over so the viewers knew it was Rae? Did the police/forensics investigate the location Rae was killed for evidence? Mind you, Silas planted the brick in Brendan's house right?

Sounds like quite a mystery!!

Silas put Rae in the boot of Brendan's car, Silas rang the police and gave a tip of as to were Brendan was and that he killed a girl, When Brendan found the body he said 'Rae' out loud and then the police turned up and it was all confirmed to be her.

We dont no what murder weapon was found hust that there was one
