Catchup Services (iPlayer etc...) on Tablets

We're currently looking replacing one of our older laptops for a tablet, and have looked at the Motorola Xoom and BB Playbook.

Along with the usual web based services, the tablet will be used for iPlayer, 4OD and ITV Player.

Of the devices mentioned which would be the better for our use? If the services switched to HTML5 or Silverlight in the future, will the devices still be able to support the services?

Any help would be welcome.

iPlayer has an HTML5 version, plus there is also an Android app for it.

ITV Player has an Android app.

4oD... not sure, but it's more likely to get an app for Android than the PlayBook.

All three of course also use Flash, which means they should all work that way on the Xoom and the PlayBook. What the Flash playback is like on either device I don't know.

I'd go for the Xoom. The PlayBook may be cheaper, but it's been a failure (tbh so has the Xoom, but at least it's Android so will still get developed for), and has far fewer apps available in general than Android. The Xoom also has a bigger screen.
