Xmas No.1 to be announced on TOTPs first?
WhisperingGhost

Is MW going to be confirmed as Xmas No.1 on TOTPs ahead of the official charts later this evening? Sorry, might be a stupid question. If so, is this the first time this has happened?

They really should have had an Amy tribute. Pretty bad form of them not to.

the last time I can remember the Christmas No1 being announced on TV before the radio is 1994 when East 17's Stay Another Day beat Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You because East 17 performed the track afterwards with some sort of snow coats on

last time Christmas fell on a Sunday was 2005 which would have been Shayne Ward with That's My Goal, don't know if that was announced on the show though
