Christina Aguilera just performed the BEST version of 'Have Youself A Merry..' EVER!!
Here is a performance from today at the Disney Christmas parade:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=EQz7A-nMwoo How AMAZING is this woman?? She first covered the song in her Christmas album back in 2001 and she sounds exactly like she did back then now in this performance. But her voice is more mature with a lot more depth, strength and beautiful lower register. I cannot WAIT for her new single next month. She is a BEAST!

Love how controlled her vocal is compared to how it was in 2001. A very beautiful cover.

Love how you can hear 'fighter' in there too at certain points. Such a unique voice. She for me was always a lot more naturally gifted than Britney.

Probably her best performance of the year. She's dressed classy and suitable for her looks, even if the make-up is still applied like her son did it.

Luckily since that performance which was taped ages ago, she has fired that make up artist.
She's been laying off the clown make up recently. |

She has a great voice but imo i feel she over does it with her voice like she does the long notes to say ' look i can pull of this note'
I liked Not Myself Tonight but when she sang it live she ruined it with the over stretching the notes lol. |

She is going to slay with her pop comeback next year. Bionic flopping will be the best thing that has ever happened to her as its paved the way for an epic comeback and no one loves comebacks more than the American's.

Americans do love comebacks, but they can be unforgiving sometimes too. I thought they would get over Janet Jackson's breast, but they clearly didn't. To some of them, screwing up the national anthem at Superbowl was a pretty bad thing to do, as accidental as it was.

Christina is not the first artist who screwed up the National Anthem. Many have survived from an embarassing moment like this, so Christina with such a loyal fanbase can pull it off too.Besides, she did it again in 2003 but that didn't end her career
![]() 2003 was different, and not at the Superbowl. She was in a different situation; still one of the PYTs of Pop. She's not there anymore. |

It was a good performance, best she's sounded in a while but the "BEST" version is by far, the original, Judy Garland's. It's not all about big notes, especially with this song, it's about emotion.

''loyal fanbase''? You mean, the one that disappeared when she released her last album?

I KNEW you would remark that about her fanbase.'Bionic' aka the most critically slammed album of the decade, with no worldwide promotion, no hit single managed to top the European chart, the UK chart and the Greek chart (

1. The Superbowl is the biggest annual sporting event in the world, as far as I am aware. 2. She's such a big name, not some random girl thrown up there. 3. People like to focus on failure as well as success. Singing the national anthem right isn't success - it's supposed to be a given. Hence, Christina failed. 4. People thought she was supposed to be the ''Voice of a Generation'' or whatever. That ''Brave'' note says otherwise. |

It's not really loyal though, seeing as her last album sold over 5 million and her GH sold over 2 million and then Bionic sold 500k worldwide.
![]() Don't try to make it seem like a flop! She's sold 600k with her flop album, so there are about 450-500k die-hard Christina fans out there.I know this seems insignificant, but some of the most successful artists right now don't have that many hardcore fans Quote:
