The problem with EastEnders across the board is the writers' obsession with eye-catching quirky characters who ultimately lack substance. They need to bring in a new generation of older actors who intend to stick around - Cora could be a good character if she's in it for a few years.

I think that Eastenders has an incredibly strong female cast...Zainab and Janine have inpressed me the most this year.
The males in comparison are poorer with only Max,Yusef, Masood and Michael on a par with the ladies. The rest get the job done.

She is by far the most natural actor on the show. It feels like she isn't acting at all as she is just so good.

I think Denise Fox is very underrated.

Nina Wadia, Jo Joyner, Lynsey Coulson, and Diane Parish is briliant, but hasn't had enough to show off her great acting this year.

Marc Elliott, without a doubt best actor for me Nitin Ganatra is fantastic too, and Steve John Shepherd. Oh, and baby Kamil!
