Do not get me wrong, I don't think he's a bad or mean character in any way. He is probably one of the nicer characters in the show, but it's funny how across the board on Digital Spy people seem to really like his character alot.

I did like him alot more in the boxing day episode because it showed he had guts and courage, but other than that, I find him kinda boring. Either that or they just never really give them anything to do.

He always seems downbeat, pretty much ever since he joined the show. Even on his wedding day he didn't seem particulary interested or excited by what was going on, it was a kind of 'lets just get this over with' kind of thing.

I feel like if they actually GAVE him something more to do in the future other than looking miserable and glum in the background I might warm to him more. Hell, it might even just be the actor who's playing him who doesn't make him very expressive or fun.

I feel the same way with Afia too, she just doesn't really interest me much at-all. It just always whining from the both of them and no real passion at-all.

I think following the 'burning' storyline if they actually gave Tamwar an interesting storyline which highlights more favourable traits of his I may perhaps favour him more.

In my opinion Tamwar is acted by one of the only, if not the only, actors on Eastenders that have natural comic timing. It's a real shame he isn't given better material to work with, because I think he can be really funny sometimes. I'd imagine he's popular because of this? He's competent enough at dealing with more serious/unhappy storylines but I don't think it's where he shines.

Partly because he has good comic timing and partly because out of all his family, he has the most common sense - eg he accepted Syed being gay long before Masood and Zainab did.

He is different from all other characters. That must give him some points as well.

I find him sort of boring too, never any emotion is his voice, he's very monotone. Actor's wooden. I don't hate him by all means but if he left next week I wouldn't miss him.

For me it's his dry wit and he's one of the more normal characters on EE. Yes we need OTT people, people with dark secrets etc... It wouldn't be a soap other wise. But it's nice to have a guy who just trying to make the best of his lot, loves his wife and family (and actually goes to work on a regular basis! )

After he recovers from the fire, and the Masoods become a bit normal again, I'd really like to see him and Jane start stand up comedy again, that was a really different but enjoyable storyline.

I don't think that's because he lacks the ability to convey emotion, the "monotone"/understated way in which he delivers his lines is very deliberately done and it's what makes him so funny! It's called "dry wit":

For me it's his dry wit and he's one of the more normal characters on EE.
This is what makes him one of the least boring characters on Eastenders, in my opinion.

People love Tamwar because he used to have a great personality until Birkwood took over & made him into an extra.

Personally Tamwar is one of the few characters in EE that you would like to be mates with therefore it means we care more about his character. I think he has great comic timing and some real witty one liners, he is the voice of reason in the Masood family-everyone needs one and its Tamwar.

I like him as he is funny and intelligent, they never seem to get very many intelligent people in Eastenders. Bradley was one but because of this they called him a geek!

Bradley wasn't called a geek because he was intelligent - he was called a geek because of his, well, geeky fasion sense and his geeky interests.

Tamwar has filled that place of the square's geek quite well in Bradley's absence.

I don't dislike Tamwar but I do find him a bit boring. I also find it funny that the writers decided to put him with Affia - who is a relatively good looking girl. It doesn't seem at all like a realistic relationship to me, you wouldn't naturally imagine them two together.

I find Tamwar boring. I think it is because he doesn't have a SL (besides the wedding with Afia), he is just in the background, being used as a comic act. He needs a proper SL so we can see his talent as an actor. Now that his face is burned, maybe we can explore and go to more depth with this SL.

I really like Tamwar's deadpan manner (and I think some mistake this for "wooden"). I find him amusing and decent.

Definitely one of the better characters in Eastenders. He's not like anyone else on the show (past or present). And unlike other characters, he doesn't need to be at the centre of a major storyline to shine.

Are you kidding? Kirkwood has developed Tamwar more than Santer ever did, the only thing I remember Tamwar doing under Santer was that stand up comedy storyline with Lesley. Kirkwood has brought back Alfa and they got married, developed a really good friendship with Darren resulting in a really nice goodbye when Darren left and he has continued to be the voice of reason within the Masood family . Tamwar has won many fans this past year and that down to his new storylines.

Tamwar SHOULD get a decent amount of screen time now that he has these burns but if we just get more Kat and Alfie, Kat and Alfie and Kat and Alfie, the writers just aren't giving lesser characters a real chance to shine. Masood and Zainab are used well but their children generally aren't.

Exactly how I feel about him. He is so underrated. People just don't appreciate his perfect comic timing and the way he is so laid back whatever life throws at him. Yes, I want to see him getting better storylines, hopefully now with the aftermath of the fire, but either way I adore the guy.

One of the few decent characters around which lets face it, the square needs. I love how different he is to Masood & Zainab and very accepting of Syed.

Absolutely right.

Tamwar has gone from being a rather ineffective geek to being a man of quiet strength, dignity and humour. The voice of reason...I like that.

Awww, love reading people's reasons on why they love Tamwar

He's always been one of my favourite characters - I find his dry humour hilarious, he's smart and intuitive, a nice guy and decent person, and I kind of see him as the voice of reason, and unique in the way he comments on various things, like that Indiana Jones line yesterday. And the way he ran into the fire in that awkward little way with absolutely no hesitation was just brilliant.

I'm aware I'm totally gushing but I just love him. I love all three Masood brothers

I have had a soft spot for Tamwar right from when he came in to Eastenders. He is awkward but smart, kind, generous, very loving but funny too. He always makes me want to hug him & defend him. I love his relationship with Affir, I hope they last & don't get some story to split them up.

Which part of Tamwar is badly burnt and leaves him disfigured.. because all of the spoilers and quotes said it was going to be his face and his face seems fine, is it his back or have we not seen the full face yet. Im confused?!
