Next the carlot fire.... The police never linked this to Phil so Jack would have not known about this at the time of the fire Only Phil, Frank and Pat knew what really happened...

I do remember Pat telling Janine what happened but cant quite remember if she told her before or after Phil began getting stalked anyone remember?

So my big Question is how did Ben know about Phil being involved in the carlot fire?... how did he obtain original photo's of the homeless man?

also people saying its obvious it was Ben because of the christmas tree being on fire, the tree was outside not inside..

so if anyone has any theories regarding this please post im interested in what people think about all this

Phil was not involved in Kevin Wicks death, he was involved providing a contact to sell Kevin some dodgy cars. The night Kevin died he knew the type of veichle that he was driving as he stole it off Yolanda and then decided to play about with it.

It is possible that Ben may have known about the car lot fire with him been a Mitchell as I am sure Kathy knew about it. That does not account for how he came to be in possession of photos of the person that died in the car lot.

@CherryRose regarding your spoiler, i believe it is DCI Marsden that manipulates him into doing so. Also i agree with u that the only way ben could know about the fire is if Kathy told him. But that seems like an awful burden to put on a young child as Ben was 10 when she died so she wud have to have told him before then. unless she left him a letter from beyond the grave with all the info he needed on the fire.....

I agree that it makes no sense, as there was CCTV to prove otherwise! I even found the episode on YouTube and watched the footage of it myself. There is no way the storyline can take this turn and maintain any credibility.

I have no idea what this sl is about. As other posters have said, Ben would not have had all this information and frankly he hasn't got the brains to collect all these photos, compile a complicated plot etc. not to mention there's no flippin' reason why he should do. If he's not happy in the Square because his dad hates him being gay, then he should move elsewhere. He must have known this would all come out sooner or later. What's he playing at ffs??

Conclusion : another rubbish storyline

I didnt know Kathy knew about the carlot fire? this storyline had great potential then they ruined it by making ben the stalker

As far as I can recall (and feel free to correct me, anyone with a better memory!), Kathy did NOT know about the fire at the time - or rather, we never saw or got told that she knew. I assume people are just guessing that she must have known or found out offscreen, and then told her young child all about it offscreen, in order for Ben to know. Either way, I think it's us trying to rationalise what is a nonsensical 'reveal'. Not quite as bad as Darren being Heather's babydaddy, but just as physically impossible.

So how can you accept Ben is the lone stalker.

You would have to accept that the writing of EE is deeply flawed......which I do

I agree its like they couldn't be bothered to follow the storyline through so just said we'll make it Ben but maybe they have something else up their sleeve maybe Ben is covering for someone?

He could be covering for someone, because i find it very hard to believe Kathy told him all about it when he was just a child, surely him even knowing about it before Kathy died he wouldnt want to live with Phil? even if Ben isnt covering for someone SOMEBODY told him about it an if it doesnt get revealed that somebody did tell him then BK should get the sack for such a crap end to a potentionally good storyline
