is it time for denise to leave the show?
has the character just came to it's natural end?

to be fair ever since the lucas story-line she's been underused and more as background character.

It's great we are seeing more of denise now with this kevin storyline, but i just cant stand the storyline it's so boring.

so has denise still got a place on the show? what would you do with her?

first of all i'd pair her up with ian i'd love her to became a beale.

I'd like to see chelsea return with a baby and a big secret

i'm not keen on libby fox but a brief stint would be ok.

I love how kirkwood has brought kim into the show, i just love her.

Denise is brilliant, sure she's been in the background for over a year, but she's really shining in this Stalker storyline. She definitely should stay, I love her, Patrick and Kim, she's got good character interactions with the likes of Patrick, Kim, Shirley, Phil, Pat, Alfie, Kat, Zainab, Masood and she's had some with Jack too. the majority of which are the show runners. Denise is one character who should not be leaving any time soon. I'd like to see something more with Phil, it was nice seeing him save her in the fire the other night. But as for storylines, I wouldn't mind her and Alfie getting together if Alfie and Kat take a break or break up. I like Alfie and Denise and I think they'd make a nice couple.

I think Denise still has a shelf life but not sure about her and Alfie together, Alfie is more suited to Roxy...

Denise has more life in her than most around, no way would I get rid. Diane Parish is a star. I'm loving all the Denise we are getting at the moment. With the Kevin reveal, the fire and her involvement in the Masood story.

I'd have the Fox/Trueman's become a major force next year with a few stories over the course of the year. Chelsea would return, and is partying hard again like when Denise traveled the world. Ada Fox played by Dona Croll would arrive. Denise would realize that Kim never told their mother about her "death". Denise would then try and keep the Lucas secret form her mother but it comes to ahead when Chelsea's partying get's out of control. Chelsea meets a new man and they have a very fiery explosive, Den and Angie style relationship where they are constantly fight and make up. Ada and Patrick would grow close.

The next stage of the story would develop when social services arrive on Patrick's doorstep claiming that Eleanor Trueman's, Paul's daughter's mother has been sent down and she wants Patrick to bring up his own granddaughter. Patrick is unsure and is convinced by Denise to go for it. Denise loves playing mum while Ada and Patrick continue to grow closer. While Chelsea and her boyfriend get engaged. They do a cross over with Don't tell the bride with Chelsea and her man starring on it.

A recasted Jordan, Yolande and Libby all return for the wedding with Daphne only just finding out that Denise is alive and refuses to come because of that. Yolande and Patrick still have that old spark leaving Ada jealous. Eventually Patrick decides he wants to be with Ada. While Jordan is angry that Ben has just moved on with his life and uses Lola to cause trouble, he makes Ben think he fancies him. Ben falls for Jordan, and Jordan decides to set up Ben. Yolande heads home disappointed after learning that Patrick is with Ada and Jordan follows Ben as he helps her home with her shopping. Once Ben has gone and Yolande pops out, Jordan breaks into the flat and trashes it but Yolande returns home having found her purse, a scuffle breaks out between the pair and Yolande falls over and bangs her head...

Jordan struggles with Yolande's death on his conscious but lets Ben take the blame. Everyone thinks Ben is to blame but eventually Patrick sees through it when Ben is cleared when CCTV footage puts him on the tube at the time of Yolande's death. Patrick confronts Jordan and he admits the truth but instead of turning him in, Patrick tells Jordan to go away and make his life worthwhile of Yolande loosing her life.

By winter their stories shift to Chelsea's boyfriend being sent down for a few weeks only to end up on the same wing as Lucas. Ada finally resolves the issues between Denise and Daphne and Patrick is forced to give up Eleanor when her mother is released from jail. Moving into the new year Chelsea's relationship breaks down completely and the love of her life leaves her, only for Chelsea to discover she is pregnant. Denise wants her to have an abortion because she doesn't want her daughter to become her... but Chelsea doesn't think that's that bad.

Yes, I think that the character has come to a natural end, I don't get why she is still hanging around tbh.....she should have left when her kids left.

It's never been said her mother is dead. The last was that she was in Trinidad I'm sure.

Denise should definitely stay. She is a great actress and has many possible storylines outlined for her. Whenever people say she has past her "shelf life", they should be looking towards other people like Kat, Alfie, Jack and Jay who became uninteresting long long ago. There's a poll in these forums and Denise is really popular, so they should obviously keep her in.

With regards to storylines, I'd have Chelsea and Libby return. Maybe Libby gets between Tamwar and Afia, while Chelsea gets with Tyler or Antony (or both) and makes Whitney/Lauren jealous. As suggested above, Chelsea could get pregnant and when she has the baby, Denise looks after it as Chelsea isn't a good mother.

Alternatively, when Ian finds out about Mandy and Ricky, he could go sobbing to Denise because they're friends, and then the storyline could be taken from there.

Jay's another, like Denise who is completely underused. I'd like to see him get a big story instead of being axed.

I would hate to see Diane Parish leave the show. Great actress who is so underrated. When she gets a big storyline she always excels. Diane must get bored of being background material for most of the year though, she needs a bigger storyline for herself and needs to be a more central figure of EE. It's sad how they give so much screentime to horrible characters like the Moon brothers and then Denise is given so little.

If Denise's mother is still alive why when they ran that story about who Denise's father was why didn't Denise just ask her mom? I thought that the explanation at the time had been that the mother was dead.

Her mum never knew, all she could remember was that she slept with one of the Five Hectors and didn't know which one it was.
