I agree with your point that it needs a fixed timeslot - it was always on at 8pm or thereabouts in the 90s, but one of the consequences of doing these much longer runs of 40+ episodes is that it's scheduled almost as an afterthought. I'd have also liked to see have seen much more celebration of the 25th anniversary last September. If go to 1:11 here you'll see a quick reminder of how the BBC used to spend time actually promoting Casualty.
I think certainly by 1996 or 1997, it had settled into an 8.05pm or 8.10pm slot that it would keep until 2002/03 when they started moving it to 8.25pm and what not.

In the same way that a soap or continuing drama could be classed as people bonking off and having affairs and yelling all the time.

It's not world changing but it's important as our biggest British hope in 10 years in playing.

Has tonight been postponned again? Will we be getting double episodes now (saturdays and sundays) in order to get the series finished before the olympics?

Ahh - that'll be interesting - will have to see what continuity have to say.

Also - I see the Beeb are ****ing around with Hollow Crown as well - I hope they don't screw up my PVR recording...

I quite enjoyed this episode. Really liked the scene between Dylan and Sam. I think William Beck plays him so well - he could easily be a really unsympathetic character but he manages to play him in a way that just makes you want to look after him!

Fletch seems alright so far, although I'll need more time before I really make up my mind.

Hi everyone,
I am new on the Casualty thread. I have started watching it again ( after many years), the last few episodes. It seems pretty good.So far, I like Dylan, Jordan and Zoe at the moment . Charlie was always my favourite.
The schedule is abit upside down with the bbc as I missed it last saturday.
