Hi all, I've just got myself an LG passive 3D TV.

We got it last week and have already watched several films, including a PPV (Cars2). We can't wait for some of the films that are coming soon.

We also watched the Brief History of 3D with Brian May which as a Queen fan was a bonus :-)

Now we have a 3D TV we are hungry for more content so I hope Sky have some big plans.

Also I did read somewhere that the Olympics this year will be broadcast in 3D, or at least part of it, so I assume the BBC will be doing this on the BBC HD channel.

"France from Above" is superb. Aerial photography often doesn't greatly benefit from 3D but this has far better depth than Sky's "Britain & Ireland From Above" (which also suffered from a terribly irritating soundtrack).

I agree, it was very impressive. especially those sweeping shots across the cliff fronts. Memories of a school trip to Mont St Michel 25 years ago just came flooding back. I hope they do more based on other countries.

Also, there was a promo for David Attenborough's Kingdom of Plants 3D in the break. Plants aren't really my thing, but the imagery was absolutely stunning!

It's not a premiere, I don't think. I watched it on Sky3D last year (and not on PPV either).

That's interesting. It's on Sky Movies Premiere as well today. So 2d viewing was only PPV before today.

Surprised they let a PPV movie through on 3d without charging.

Not seen it mentioned yet and I'm sure somebody would be interested.

Last night 'Red Hot TV' showed a film in 3D (using the side-by-side format) while showed the same film in 2D on 'Red Hot Amateur'.

I read it was the red and blue glasses type. Must have been really poor quality, according to KingofSat there are 12 channels on those Eurobird transponders and are all low quality SD.

No - it was the side-by-side format and worked fine.

When does Toy story 3 3D come out and also Tangled 3D. Thay have not been sown for a long time. The only 3D Toy story films shown FTA were Toy story 1 and Toy story 2. So were is|Toy story 3 and not to mention Tangled 3D. By the way I love Megamind in 3D what a fantastic film...

Toy Story 3 and Tangled are still showing exclusively on Disney Cinemagic. No doubt they will appear on Sky 3D when the films eventually migrate to the Sky Movie channels.

For those of you not interested in the golf in 3d, it's well worth Sky plussing, anyway.

This was a separate broadcast from the Golf Channel and had none of the usual commercial breaks.

It did however have breaks full of 3d related content, film and game promos, and clips from content on US 3d channels.

Final round, tonight at midnight.

I was expecting there to be many more prem league football games to be shown by now. At least one per week.
This would increase the uptake for Sky 3D.

As a 3d newbie, is football 3d live good in a domestic setting?

There's three more live PL football matches this month.

In February there's four Premier League matches and the Carling Cup final.
