Considering their voices / songwriting / stage presence etc

Who is the best out of the following. ??

Rihanna
Lady Ga Ga
Adele
Beyonce

Is there anyone even close to them , Nicole S doesn't write her own songs as far as I know ....

Ah but that would be hijacking your thread, you picked the 4 artists, lets stick with them

Funny thing is, I'm not even a fan of her, but she writes her own music, actually has a decent voice, and the fact she pretty much brings a concert to a live performance, Lady GaGa is probably the best from your list.

However, personally I'd say someone like P!nk has the overall talent imo.

Oh I forgot to add that Beyoncé is a liar and a cheat. Stealing songs left, right and centre. Brilliant voice though.

Well, it depends

Adele : she writes the majority of her songs and she's a very talented songwriter, which I consider her main talent. She has an amazing tone, which helps her stand out, but she hasn't showcased any outstanding vocal abilities yet

Beyonce : Her vocal technique is flawless. She's very good at tossing wigs and she excells in stoic interviews. Her fans seem to think that she co-writes her songs and she's been brainwashed to believe it too.Aside from a bunch of missteps, she's one of the most capable performers of her generation.

GaGa : she's a musician : she can sing and play the piano. She can compose music and write lyrics, but I'm not sure I can give her credit for that...Would I give credit to an elementary school student if he wrote a track about his telephone ringing while playing hide and seek with his friends? But kidding aside, I think she has a lot of creative ideas and if she keeps writing music, she can get a lot better at it.She's good.

Rihanna : I'm not sure why she's one of the options in your threads, but I believe she's the only act in the world who can release an album and 2 singles off of it while at the same time she's on tour supporting her previous album.BOSS!

I'd Rank them:

Adele
Beyonce
Gaga
Rihanna
change the top two. range wise, technique and power - adele is flawed as a singer. her technique is flawed, she contricts her throat to hit notes i.e someone like you (album version) where adele sings 'dont forget me' - attempt to sing it yourself and you'll find you have to squeeze your throat or sing weirdly in order to hit the same note. 2 octaves (her range) is standard, and in terms of belting/power of voice, she's average for a contralto. her belt on the chorus of Rolling in the deep is the most powerful her voice gets. powerful, but not the be all and end all of belts.

i wouldnt say she steals songs, thats not really possible. in some cases she hasnt written them - she puts her name on it to make more money, simple and industry wide business practice. she did and still does write a lot of her stuff/co writes but seems to work with teams. i think she forms the songs, but isnt a lyricist ie Diva (bangladesh wrote it, and it was initially offered to Keyshia Cole). she helps form the end product. shes a business woman, and she maximises her revenue.

Gaga because she is the only all rounder there (good vocalist, lyricist, stage presence, musician, capable of putting on a show etc)
However, both Adele and Beyonce are very talented too and deserve success.

Rihanna though...

I rank them...

1. Lady Gaga
2. Beyonce
3. Adele
4. Rihanna (pretty talentless, doesn't write music, can't dance and sings badly)

Gaga if we're talking about the entire package of songwriting, performing, composing and producing.

Adele for the songwriting.

Beyonce for the voice.

Laura Marling.

The voice, musicianship and songwriting. And no need to put on theatrics to captivate an audience.

#1 Gaga

Classically trained musician, great singer, talented songwriter, versatile artist, strong performer and has a lot of potential for progression. Plus she gained early admission to the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, so beyond the popstar realm, she's still considered a talented individual above her peers. She's only 25, there's still a lot of progression and growth to come there.

#2 Adele

Beautiful soulful singer, talented songwriter and strong performer. She comes in second because I don't think she's particularly versatile (not a bad thing in general, but compared to Gaga and Beyonce who are) and not sure how musically talented she is beyond voice/songwriting (again, not bad thing in general, but Gaga can so gains an additional pro in this list).

#3 Beyonce

Flawless singer, great performer...but questionable songwriting skills. If she is indeed a genuine writer, I still would say Adele and Gaga have more impressive credits.

#4 Rihanna

Ok singer, average performer, practically non existent songwriting skills. Versatile though. She bangs on a drum every now and then, but not sure what else beyond.

She DID steal If I Were A Boy. BC Jean the original writer gave it to Toby Gad to produce and he rejected it but still gave the song to Beyoncé behind her back. Beyoncé then got a writing credit for the song.

And then of course there is the Irreplaceable scandal where she claimed on a live tour that she 'wrote the song for all the ladies'...yet Ne-Yo wrote it without her...

with the latter i think she says things because it works. i.e at the performance, it gets the crowd going. like i said she helped form the finished product but shes not a full on lyricist. thats not beyonce's fault that T Gad gave it to her. her name goes on her material as thats what happens. I do wonder because if MJ didnt write a song his name didnt end up on it and he'd been around longer than beyonce around the time (mid 80s) on thriller. maybe she does write, maybe not, we dont know for sure. all sorts come out in the industry. she'll write the song without physically sitting down and penning it, so she'll provide the themes, the sentiment etc. i've heard she's not a lyricist but she's sent songs and then she reviews them and makes amendments to suit her needs. however consider the situation, beyonce doesnt write her songs and effectively becomes a classier more talented version of rihanna. by being the full package she maintains her image. i do believe she does write/co write especially in the DC days. shes spoken about the story behind bootylicious, survivor and other hits too, which she penned - she explains the story behind them and the melody (the stevie nicks sample on bootylicious.)
