Which character did you prefer?

I preferred Yusef: he was a better villain in my opinion and he was portrayed by a great actor. I liked Archie, but Yusef was more entertaining.

neither, both characters were kind of one note villians with not much scope. There were also the centrepieces of 2 of the most drawn out plot driven messes in recent years

I prefer Yusef - he was more complex and as the OP rightly said portrayed by a fantastic actor. Archie was just a monster with no redeeming features whatsoever. At least Yusef loved his daughter even though he was psychotic.

Archie Mitchell definately, he was potrayed by a great actor. Yusuf was boring, Archie was definately more manipulative and more vicious than Yusuf. He is my favourate EE villian.

archie was definately more evil yusef was just really unhinged and i think he realised in the end he was a bad man whereas archie genuinely beleived he was'nt,which is the mark of someone really evil, although i did'nt find either character interesting

I agree with this. This is why I had some sympathy for Yusef whereas I had no sympathy whatsoever for Archie.

Archie. It's offensive to compare them.

well as much as I liked Archie, I wouldn;t say he was evil either just more miserable and bitter but not evil

I would say raping your teenager daughter does make you evil

He was whatever the plot required him to be. Like Yusef, we didn't really know what his motives were he was just a paper cut out panto "bad guy" with no real depth. Yusef is probably marginally better because we know at least he loves his daughter. And so you could connect to him in those last moments at least.

But otherwise we're comparing two incredibly dull one-dimensional "characters" who you can't really say much about. I think asking a question such as who is more to blame for Tamwar's injuries... Afia or Zainab would be pretty interesting.

Definitely Archie. Archie was brilliant, Yusef was just the same boring thing all over again. One little attempted murder and a few little wife beatings. Atleast Archie did some different and unexpected stuff.

if that was his end game why did he revive her after the fake overdose.Or bring her back to london when he had her where he wanted her in pakistan. The writers had no clue they just dragged it as long as they could til christmas.
