Music and the Occult
I heard an audio on the internet recently that purported the theory that
music .... especially in the form of song... is occult that songs are a form of witchcraft, a spell cast by the songwriters and musicians. Music and song are fascinating and millions try to write a song, yet only a handful of people have the 'gift' ... in a similar way only a handful of people are mediums or clairvoyants........ very few are chosen. One song that was cited was the Barry Manilow song...... I write the song........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-fev20voMc I’ve been alive forever, And I wrote the very first song. I put the words and the melodies together, I am music, And I write the songs. I write the songs that make the whole world sing. I write the songs of love and special thing s. I write the songs that make the young girls cry. I write the songs, I write the songs. My home lies deep within you, And I’ve got my own place in your soul. Now, when I look out through your eyes, I’m young again, even though I’m very old. Chorus Oh my music makes you dance And gives your spirit to take a chance, And I wrote some rock ’n’ roll so you can move. Music fills your heart, Well, that’s a real fine place to start. It’s from me it’s for you, It’s from you, it’s from me, It’s a world wide symphony. This song was earmarked as a song about demonic possession .... just one of a million songs that are all a form of the occult and witchcraft. Rock and Roll came on the scene after WW2 and was quickly labelled " the devil's music " no doubt Jazz had a similar label back in the 30s ! |

Thats right. Matt Cardle has been spotted drinking goat's blood and slitting the throats of chickens.

sounds like the opinion of some loony out of touch, ignorant, religious fundamentalist who is convinced 'the devil' really exists and is after our souls...
of course its utter rubbish. whilst some styles play on the evil iconography of the occult, its all showmanship. |

I would say that it is true in some instances, music can be a powerful tool and words can have power. But I find it hard to imagine any change of consciousness listening to, say, The Birdy Song.

The pop songs of the 60s the Beatles, the Kinks seem innocent and fun.... ( maybe the Stones bucked the trend a little with their Satanic Majestys Request....)
but the 70s brought in Heavy Metal and Ozzie Osborne.... things were about to get a little sinister ! |
