Part of the problem is they do such a diverse range of things that are managed by different organisations.

For example, when WoW oh WoW was released, Universal arranged lots of radio and TV appearances where J&E were plugging the single. The Jeds aren't taken seriously by traditional music media, so they had to turn to other avenues - OKTV and This Morning, for example.

Likewise, when they had Big Adventure to promote, the BBC hooked them up with all sorts of great promo spots, taking advantage of relevant BBC radio and TV programmes.

But the tour promoters they use in Ireland and the UK seem to be small operators, so are probably are less connected, working with lower budgets and aren't able to arrange big TV appearances to promote the shows.

I guess at this stage, we as fans could look at grassroots ways to promote the Jeds. For example, if there's a UK tour coming up, maybe think about the sort of people who'd enjoy the show but might not know about it, then creatively spam them.

Its that kind of PR that really does need some work I think....

To be fair and to put things in perspective, the twins are not a major recording or touring act in the UK. PR work costs money - if it's not thought that it would make enough difference, then it won't be commissioned.

In Ireland it's different in that they are a big name and what they do gets picked up by the press.

Sara, the Jedward publicist, just tweeted a photo of herself posing with the Stephen Hawking waxwork. There also seemed to be bright television-style lighting in the shot, so I would guess that J&E are filming something. But what? The fact that Sara is there suggests it's something involving the media.

I've asked someone who tweeted first thing this morning about filming with Jedward today. She's replied saying she's not sure if she's allowed to say but will let me (us) know if she's allowed to say. Very intriguing. I've also noticed some tweets to and from actors - so I don't know if that's a clue.

After all the drama of a few days ago, I'm pleased to see unrealitytv have posted a nice positive blog entry about Jedward's Big Adventure. Maybe they are trying to make amends?

The need for better PR has been highlighted this morning - the twins tweeted a few days ago that they were going to Sweden on Saturday, but there are now rumours that this has been changed.

Understandably Swedish fans are disappointed and desparate for info, but there has been no official word either way

The word on twitter is that J&E have sent DMs to certain Swedish fans saying the date has been changed.

It seems that J&E did DM some fans in Sweden that they have to delay this plans (&Liam said to some fans that Denmark is not 100% sure) . I wonder why they did send DM´s and did not tweet it (because their tweets from last saturday are the reasons these fans believed that they will come to Sweden+Denmark)
For my opinion John&Edward should not tweet dates so many days before when it is not 1000% for sure because plans can change and than people are disappointed especially when they have already booked( because of Jedward tweets ) flight+train+hotel rooms.(it is not very professional)

Probably John&Edward should not tweet dates so many days beforewhen it is not 1000% for sure because plans can change and than people are disappointed

thanks, Shehera... I would probably believe a tweet over a DM to a fan, tho'.

That said, J&E's twitter being linked to their facebook page is, in my opinion, unfortunate. I don't enjoy reading tweets from management. J&E's surreal tweets are one of the things that have set them apart from other groups/acts... it's jarring when management tweets on their twitter.

I was thinking that maybe the plans for Denmark/Sweden have been delayed because this week they have to do stuff that they had to do past week but they couldn't because of their Grandad's death and Liam's illness... I don't know, it's just a guess.

I've also wondered that. It's entirely possible their schedule has been upset by taking that unexpected (and sad) break. Haven't they got to get moving on making a video for Waterline?

I can understand why fans are upset as its disappointing for them, but probably not within John and Edwards control.

I suspect their plans for Sweden and Denmark can't have been delayed by that much. It's not as if they have a load of concerts lined up or something.....if there is a delay, it's probably only by a matter of days or a week or so.

yeah seems that the DMs said "Monday or Wednesday instead of Saturday" as an arrival date.

They're recording the album right now and I don't know if they're gonna film something for the Waterline video, but the deadline is the 19th of March... I think they're gonna "recycle" clips/images as they did last year

Btw I've seen France's music video and wow, they're spending a lot of money in their entry this year

They seemed to have no imput to the RTE preview video in fact last year : that looked like it was made by an independent production company.

As for Anggun from France, it looks like her record company paid for all those nationa final appearances recently.

I hope they do a proper preview video this year. They are a big name pop act signed to Universal after all, not some unknown amateur act like several of the entrants this year.

Is it my imagination, or are this year's acts much stronger than last year's? I'm so impressed with many of them.
