- Weirdest badly translated line from a review of Planet Jedward: "Aging and impression of subtle rather than spread the Slow Food Fast Food peripheral impromptu sex"
Oh yeah, accurate
hahahaha just kidding, the korean for Jedward I was using was 제드워드 and yeah lots of modeling pics (above all, from the twilight photoshoot). I think they have that kind of androgyne beauty that works so well in Asia. They're crazy, they're fun, I think Asia would love them.

I love Brian Friedman. I think he taught and gave them a lot. I've recently rewatched all X-factor performances - all of them were really good except for the last one as there were too many people on stage and it was a mess. somehow I always agree with Simon)))
PS. in the second video Edward gibes at Brian - everywhere the wind blows.....that's Brian Friedman lives))))
PPS. John's voice has changed - he was like Edward and now he is not)

Brian used to say stuff about the twins that annoyed me though. I used to get quite upset about some of his remarks. I do think he likes the twins on a personal level though and he gave them great choreography. If I were to critisise the choreography it would have to be that the dance routines he gave the boys were extremely energetic and ambitious and it's much harder to sing and dance than just stand there and sing, so it made the competition harder for the twins than for the ones that just stood and concentrated on their vocal. Some artists on XF don't dance at all incase it damages their vocal performance but the twins were always up for it and just got on with whatever was thrown at them. I agree that the choreography for the last one was the weakest . We remarked on here at the time it was like we weren't given any close ups of the boys faces and it was all filmed from the back of the studio, making it harder for the viewer to bond with them . I think they wanted the boys out that week and the producers were up to all manner of tricks to get them out.

Okay this is more or less the twitter-chat some Spanish fans just had with a radio station:
- request us the song you want
- We want Lipstick by Jedward
- We're sorry we don't have that song. Any other request?
- Do you have any other song by Jedward?
- No, we don't
- *sending a link for downloading lipstick*
- Thanks but we can't download it that way because it'd be piracy
- Well, download it from iTunes then *sends iTunes link*
no answer

There's another radio station that has already played like 20 seconds of "wow oh wow" and "bad behaviour" but even requesting them a lot, they never play the full songs...
Isn't it frustrating? Anyway we're not gonna give up and we'll keep on spamming whoever we need until we listen one of their songs on the radio

I don't think I heard WOW on the radio even once. It's such a shame.

Its awful that they won't play them on the radio...before christmas, several times Radio 1 advertised them as featuring on various radio shows ..then after listening to the show they were actually only on a two second clip...

Reggie Yates did this, his show was advertised as featuring Jedward... when he finally played the short clip of them saying their favourite christmas song towards the end of the show he appologised to his listeners and complained that he had to play it because he was inundated with texts and tweets by people asking where they were ....

Well surely that should show that many people tuned in especially to hear them...

I must admit I very rarely listen to the radio these days..I get fed up with it as it seems to be the same four of five songs playing on a loop...

I loved the radio show the twins did though...they played such a good selection of varied songs,..I really enjoyed it

Meanwhile, I happened across some reviews of the panto from audience members (bottom of the page). They're largely extremely positive, and most of the negative ones are just complaints about the theatre seating, rather than anything about the performance. It's especially great reading the reviews from parents who had only gone along for their kids, only to have a totally brilliant time!
Thank you so much for that link. Its great to read all the positive reviews from family groups. Its good to remind myself that John and Edward's fanbase includes so many children. I think sometimes I spend too much time on twitter and tumblr which are populated exclusively by adult (ish) fans, and so reading these reviews was a good antidote to all the lechery and talk about J&E's sexual attractiveness from girls and older women which seems to take up so much space there (not to mention all the angst and infighting about getting to meet the twins!).

Its good to remember how they appeal to different groups in different ways, which they need if they are to expand their popularity more generally . They can't just be heartthrobs, however important that aspect is to their hardcore fans.

There are some more lovely reviews from a Magic mums forum

http://www.magicmum.com/phpBB/viewto...6e52fdb38e280c

Lots of people who didn't like the boys changing their opinions

Also the comment about there being some "strange fanatical adults" made me giggle

Yes, this is definitely worth remembering. Twitter can give quite a skewed picture of their fanbase at times. They really are extraordinarily popular with kids in Ireland - both boys and girls.

It's a particularly nice side of their popularity, because it means they can get involved in very meaningful stuff like childrens' charities and visiting kids in hospital. A friend of mine works in a hospital in Dublin and was telling me how completely thrilled the kids there were when the twins came in to visit over Christmas and how much it brightened things up for them.

I've seen a few videos of the twins with sick/disabled kids and I have to say they blow me away with their maturity and ease with them. Its lovely that their fame has meant they can now make children so happy just by giving them a small amount of their time.

Another opponent revealed for the twins in Eurosong 2012 : Donna McCaul, who represented Ireland in Eurovision with her brother Joe in 2005.

I can't watch the video (Youtube isn't working for me atm) but I remember her and her brother anyway. I wasn't a big fan of them on You're A Star, or their Eurovision song though
I wonder if old fans would vote for her again?

She's probably just doing this for the exposure Katy. She knows that going head to head with Jedward will generate some publicity for her own music career and she's quite content with that

That business with Reggie Yates was disgraceful . To advertise the show as featuring Jedward in order to get extra listeners and then only play a short clip and apologise for playing it was downright rude and disrespectful.

I don't listen to a huge amount of radio. I tend to listen to it when I'm in the car. If I'm at home I don't bother unless there's something in particular I want to tune in for.

I listened in to the radio show the twins did too but unfortunately I missed most of the first half because I only found out it was on when i saw your post on here then I had to go off and deal with something in the kitchen and missed the end as well. I caught Lipstick though!

Well, that's two opponents now! Another 3 to go.

I have to admit I don't remember Donna or that song. She certainly can sing but I think she'd need an exceptionally good song to be able to challenge Jedward.

I heard a rumour that McFly are going to be representing UK in Eurovision this year but that rumour went around last year too, so maybe there's nothing in it.

Another Rumour is that Ronan Keating could be another of the 5 acts in Eurosong

Maybe the twins already know their rivals for Eurosong and are asking people to vote for them because they know it'll be tough

God it will be tough against Ronan Keating, I kind of hope this isn't true......how big a fan base would he have these days? I'm not really up on that kind of thing, I haven't seen him around for quite a while..

Ronan is touring in Australia until 16th Feb. His diary doesn't seem to go beyond that. I've a feeling he might be doing it.It would certainly explain why the twins are unsure they'll qualify.

Isn't Ronan still a judge on XF Australia? When do auditions begin there - the show is broadcast from late August normally. Surely auditions in front of the judges would be taking place by the end of May - let alone any other commitments he would have if he were to do well in ESC? I'm not believing this one until I hear more.

Apparently it was a rumour taken from a forum, but some are saying he just writes these days..so it is more likely he has written a song for someone else...Hopefully that is the case ..

I'd be surprised if Keating does it. He wouldn't be the favourite against the twins and i'd have thought he's too big a name to risk entering if his chances of winning weren't high.

Also, as others have pointed out he has a lot of committments.

Edit: Yes, writing sounds a more likely possibility - didn't he write something of ESC before?

Edit no. 2: Yep, just checked WP, he co-wrote the Danish entry in 2009.

Yeah, let's hope it's all a drama about nothing. But if he is competing, then so be it....we will just have to beat him
