I understand it's hard to believe for those not following the twins' career. Most of people think of them they're weak boys, don't know they were runners, don't know they still run from time to time, etc.

If they have the medals is because they completed the marathon and were actually registered (you can't run in such a thing unregistered without being dragged out). It's true that they don't appear in the LA Marathon website, but we don't know if they used their real names or anything. The volunteer who saw them says that their bibs hadn't their names on it. It's a shame we don't know the bibs' numbers to prove the haters wrong

It's not really to my taste but I did find it quite catchy (even though I didn't want to!) at least the first half of it when he was singing quietly. Didn't like the rest of it.

I suppose it depends whether it stands out enough with all the other ballads which have been submitted this year.

Just come out of lurkdom to say how chuffed I am for John and Edward following their marathon success.

I can't stop grinning thinking about it ... who else but them would just decide to do a marathon ... in what looks like really sunny conditions ... on a 'whim', lol!

And having run a marathon I can totally empathise with the chaffing business - ouch, not nice, especially when you hit the shower .

Hope they remember the Body Glide for their next marathon

That's very telling, isn't it? The bashers have such an ingrained negative view of the twins that it is incomprehensible to them that Jedward could achieve something extraordinary.

Not really. I informed them this morning & tweeted the video of the interview, but Tina - who runs CraveOnMusic - is with us anyway, as she loves the twins to bits. So I wasn't utterly surprised when she told me she already knew what our supernatural twins had achieved last night and was working on the article to be released later this day.

Don't forget the draw for the semi finals takes place later this morning at the EBU meeting in Baku. It starts at 10am (11.00 CET) and wil be streamed live by eurovision.tv.

I wouldn't be overly concerned where the twins are drawn, but clearly it is an advantage to go later in the semi final, so fingers crossed.

It doesn't help that the report in the Daily Mail (which most other news reports are based around) cherry picks the tweets to make it sound like they literally had no training, no sleep and no food.

Except they've had years of training and are skilled long-distance runners, they got some sleep on the plane and about three hours the night before, and they carbo-loaded the night before and skipped breakfast, which is totally normal for a marathon runner.

But I guess not many people out there do spontaneous marathons!

I agree in some way. I still remember how good they looked when they wore real smart and fine clothes before X factor and after it but now it's like they are aliens or clowns.

I'm glad they went with quiffs and silver jackets. While they do look amazing with flat hair, I think since they're still pretty much unknown in America, it's better to establish the "Jedward" look, then bring out flat hair for special occasions, like they did with Childline.

From the photos I've seen, they were working the red carpet like pros. Tara looks incredibly glamorous, and there are some cute photos of J&E chatting with their new fan Alyson Hannigan.

While the American Reunion premiere isn't an A-list extravaganza, it's still going to get them noticed. How cool is it that they've only been in LA for 48 hours and they've already been showered with positive media attention?

Don´t get me wrong. I like their crazy clothes +their quiffs but I hope that it was not the wrong decision to go like this to the premiere. Tara and the other stars were all dressed elegant/very chic but John&Edward look like not from this world(though I like it when they wear it on other occasions).
But on the other side it will be hard for everybody who had seen them to forget them, they got much attention because of this , maybe this is a step closer to start their career in USA . I hope only that the other stars did not feel offended because of that , that J&E did steal a little bit the show and I hope the press will not say/write something really nasty about Tara+Jedward because of that. And I hope Tara found it okay that they were dressed this way
