Now SCD's gone I feel empty and the TV listings look so boring! Does anyone else feel the same way?

Usually I wouldn't miss it,but this year,I have been so moved by the performances of Chelsee and the routines Pasha created for her,I feel almost a sense of loss

Quite honestly it went on for far too many weeks and there was too much faffin' about and silly stuff in it.

At one time I used to watch every programme all the way through.
Since it was ruined in the last two years in the pathetic search for better ratings, I now record it and skip through the nonsense, it cuts the watchable viewing time down by half.

I really need a nine month break, by which time I may be interested enough to start watching the next series the same way.

I dread the next raft of daft additions to the format it's bound to get.

It's quite a relief that it's over, there were so many things about this series that wound me up. At least Chelsee didn't win, so it ended with a smile for me.

It isnt just the main SCD shows, if you watch It Takes Two all week as well (not that I do) I guess its easy to be completely absorbed.
Also there is something about the months running up to Christmas that adds a bit of extra zest to everything. January and February are the hardest months of the year imo.

Do you mean as in life in general or TV wise?

This was my 2nd favourite series after series 5, and I do miss having all those lovely 6 inch dancy people on my telly. Unfortunately I only appreciate them as shiny sparkly 6 inchers, which means I'm not going to the tour as the real thing may scar me for life.

Luckily I'm a DWTS almost-fanatic and the next season starts in March

I don't feel depressed without it, but I have considered not having a tv license between January and September. Why bother?

OP, feeling depressed is not the same as feeling bored/miserable/slightly unhappy that your favourite TV programme has finished.

Depression is a serious illness that requires medication/therapy so please don't use the word "depressed" in such a glib way.

Oh come on most of us have used hyperbole to make point - I've suffered from serious depression in the past and I didn't feel offended.

I have to admit evening television on a weekend is absolutely rubbish at the moment. At least Dancing On Ice, which I also love, starts in January so not too long to wait now.

I certainly feel down when it finishes. I watch ITT as well so it is seven days a week for a few months. This is the first year when I haven't been bothered who won, having given up on any hope of Jason winning a few weeks before the final. All three finalist would have worthy winners and I wasn't tense for the final. I am a terrible loser so always get very worked up in these kinds of situations. Oddly I seem to be missing it more this year. Perhaps me being relaxed about it isn't a good thing then.

I was going to go to the SCD tour but ruled it out because it's far too expensive and I doubt if I'd get decent seats this late either.

I've booked to see Midnight Tango with Vincent and Flavia in April - so I'm looking forward to that - I've seen it before but I enjoyed it so much the first time I want to see it again!

I've also heard that Katya and Pasha are doing a tour and the tickets seem quite reasonably priced but unfortunately they're not touring near where I live - I suppose I could travel to the London venue but I might wait and see if there's any feedback on their tour before deciding on whether to go to that.

Dancing on Ice is an inferior imitation of SCD but it sort of fills the gap - I can't get into it as much as SCD but I do enjoy it - then there's Let's Dance for Comic Relief which I think is hilarious. I also watch DWTS - again I like it but I'm not as into it as SCD.
