Rhianna and Lady Gaga. They'll both burn themselves out before next year is out with Rhianna churning out single after single, album after album, tour after tour and Lady Gaga embarking on this mammoth 498 date tour of hers.

Who do you want to take a break and for what reasons?

I second Rihanna but I don't think she will. Is this 400 plus tour of Gaga's offical I though it was just a rumour?

Rihanna needs to take about 2 years as does Gaga, the tour is unconfirmed, I don't see it happening.

I heard she's trying to beat U2, and it seems like a very her thing to do.

I reckon Rihanna should not tour with Talk That Talk, it already has sold an immense amount to launch the album campaign already. Platinum all over the place etc. So she should focus i think on singles releases...maybe 5 from the album overall with videos and some promotional performances and after the final single for her to take a bit more longer break....doesnt have to be too long....but some distance eprhaps between albums this time around....i mean no one is going to forget her she has made such a staple already...and with a few more hits from this album for 2012....there is no chance.

So yeah I reckon three more singles from Rihanna and then for her to take 6 months or so out and have a break and get influenced before she enters the studio again.

Lady gaga i am a bit confused about....i mean she had the whole Fame/Monster era for over two years on tour promoting which lead direct into Born This Way album campaigns...the singles ended up moshy and over hyped and while majority of fans bought it and some new listeners (me) tuned in and liked it...loads also didnt and a backlash ensued....and now there is speculation she will have a new album out next year already....what the heck???

She needs to get more influences tbh I am all for progressing as an artist, but if she focuses too much on her alter ego, her persona as a celebrity i feel she may continue to isolate listeners...but at the same point....why must she push out a new album so early when there could be more radio releases from the album itself and to focus more on a tour...she knows she will sell.

But seriously, if she continues this neverending chain it will end up with a more Mariah effect as some have said :-/.

The dangerous thing is that if they do have a slump because of over coverage (or lack thereof) then they may...and with the current music climate....Mariah is still a pretty respected name overall really in terms of voice and presence despite her flops...whereas if gaga or Rihanna ended up in a commercial slump and become over popularised etc then it would lead to fast crash n burn....nobody wants that.

Oh, poor wee artists risking burn out but doing too many albums. Bands in the 60s and 70s used to churn out album after album and they would do a gig most nights of the week and they never suffered burn out after just a few years.

Definitely Rihanna. I like her but she has released too many singles IMO. She needs to release a Hits album next year and then come back the following year with a killer album.
