We had our first colour set around 1970.

Before the introduction of 625 lines in the early sixties, we had a Ferguson TV which was remote controlled via a control on a cable. The American firm Magnovox had a system of remote control that worked by a cordless controller.
It actually had a little whistle inside activating a bellows that blew an HF whistle that was picked up by the apparatus.
