Lots of fresh fruit, veg, water and no smoking could be the secret.

If non of the above apply, then it will catch up with them eventually.

I have noticed that as they age, the skin of non smokers looks very different to that of smokers of the same age.

Why would you expect wrinkles and lines at 35??

I'm 48 and don;t have any noticeable lines or wrinkles (unless you look really really closely!). Most people in their 30/40's that I know don't.

My mum is 58 and has no wrinkles. It's not difficult if you look after your skin both internally and externally.

momma is 69 and only has some fine lines...it could be a lot of things. I mean she was raised in africa and worked our in the sugar cane fields so one would expect at least some sun damage. For her it's probably down to genetics (fingers crossed for me haha). Some people just don't age, whilst others age before their time.

Why won't she tell you? Maybe she's a witch who bathes in virgins blood.

Sun exposure does worse things for the skin than bad diet, smoking and drinking put together. Anyone who spends time sunbathing is shrivelling their skin. Apart from that its mainly down to genetics. People who have greasy skin in their youth usually age better. People with fine skin tend to get lines quicker.

I am 35 and have no lines or wrinkles. Most people I meet assume I'm younger than I am until I tell them different.

I dont do anything special, other than I dont smoke or sunbathe. Its just genetics.

Pretty much word for word what I was going to say.

I had very oily, spotty skin for at least 10 years. I think I kept Clearasil going single-handedly.

I am now 44 with very few lines and still get an oily t-zone!

I've had fantastic results on fine lines with retin A and glycolic acid applied on alternate nights. Sunscreen is even more necessary when using these products.

Is she porky though? Fat people tend to stay wrinkle-free longer than thin...

My sister's 39 & has no lines at all. My mum is in her early 60s but looks at least 10 years younger.

It's probably partly genetics, but also strict skincare:

Never put your face in the sun.
Never use water or alcohol on your face.
Don't use harsh exfoliant.
Use a rich, thick night cream.
And a good day cream.

Don't smoke & don't drink too much.

So how do you cleanse, do you use oil? Why don't you like using water on your face, is it because UK water can be quite hard - well it certainly is in London.

Does putting on and taking off makeup every day cause wrinkles because of the constant pushing and pulling on your skin?

According to my dermatologist. Partly Genetics and partly the degree of sun exposure.
There is absolutely no product or food in the world that will make your face wrinkle free, the only thing to do is avoid getting even more than nature already set for you by using a very good sunscreen.

I have good skin due to genetics, all my family are lucky that we look a lot younger than we actually are. I am a bit of a sunworshipper, and have been most of my life and very rarely use sun cream although I have started to in the last couple of years. I have no wrinkles and I am 34(I look about 27 apparently). I drink a lot of water, don't smoke, eat lots of fruit and veg but also a lot of rubbish. I have been using moisturiser since I was 11 as I have sensitive skin that can get very dry on my face.

I agree with others: genetics, a healthy life style, a good skin care regime, lots of sun-protection could all be factors.

That is good advice and I'd add use a good factor 25 sunblock to stop skin damage by ultraviolet light, e.g. during summer and on holiday.

There's a programme, 10 Years Younger, on the Really channel http://uktv.co.uk/really/homepage/sid/8980 and people who tend to look 10-15 years older than they actually are are the ones who smoke, use tanning salons/sunbathe a lot and who lead stressful lives.

There are some tips here http://uktv.co.uk/really/item/aid/647069 from the programme's experts.

Sad to say that I do have them . I'm in my early 30's too . I think it's due to loosing weight and poor genetics as I don't smoke or sunbathe

Depends... I use Caudalie Cleansing water, Manetti Roberts Rose Water, Logona Wild Rose Cleansing milk, - or Grapeseed oil if I want to get makeup off quickly...

My mum's French & French women have a thing about not using water because it dries up your skin. I find if just do one wash with water my skin feels dry & tight afterwards.

My gran is 60 something and has beautiful luminous skin with barely a wrinkle. I put it down to her being a vegetarian.

Genetics and a healthy lifestyle. Sun damage, drugs and smoking dramatically age skin.

I've seen 25 year old smokers with wrinkles round the eyes. Also terrible spotty, greasy skin as a teenager can indicate you will age better than your perfect skinned counterparts.

My nearly 80 year old mother could easily pass for 60. When she was 35 she didn't have any wrinkles.

She uses cheap and cheerful moisturisers, doesn't drink very often, smokes a little, sunbathed like mad when she was younger (35) and used oil with no sun protection factor. She did wear a hat so not to get direct sun on her face.
