I have the following make of TV at home and I am trying to share my media from my PC to the TV using All Share

I have been advised to download Samsung’s PC Media Suite but am unable to find this on the Interent.
. I have connected the TV to an access point that is situated behind the TV via an ethernet cable and the computer in m room to another access point in my room via another ethernet cable
If someone has this TV and has successfully set this up can they please tell me how they did this

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...ing-essentials scroll down to PUBLIC

put your files in PUBLIC folders and the TV will see them

also start thinking of getting a NAS with an ethernet connection, not USB as pretty defucnt now

I have the 40 inch version of this and all working fine after 2 days of fiddling, mostly because i didn't read the manual.

Install "Allshare", a quick search will find that, on the pc in question, then transfer files to a folder in that programme. This can be an existing folder or a fresh one.
You can then add other files or folders as required.
There is no option to delete or remove from the programme, that's done using normal Windows commands/options.

I made the initial mistake of thinking i could do an open search of my computer from the tv, that's not the way it's done and it works brilliantly now.

I'm running Windows 7 btw, not sure what it requires to function.

You have to select "Allshare" from the source button on the tv

The Samsung pc media suite is called Kies but i'm not sure you need that installed to work with the tv. I have it because i have a Galaxy phone but i've not run it in conjuction with anything to do with the tv.

I'm assuming all your access points are on the same network?

I have a 32" D580. Could I ask if anyone is able resume playback on a video they have previously been watching over a usb stick. I believe you press the blue button to resume playback. My 19" Samsung does this and a friends 40" too, but Samsung seem to have omitted this function on this TV.... Unless its me of course !

Thanks in advance.!

Have you downloaded Allshare from the Samsung site to your PC? I put it on a Windows7 PC and an old XP machine and they both connect to my Samsung HT d4500 Blu ray http://www.samsung.com/global/allshare/pcsw/

I use Samsung allshare with my tv but is it possible to have both the tv and samsung home cinema connected at the same time. I went through the set up wizard but I dont get the choice to connect to both tv and cinema. Is it one or the other ?.

Don't use the blue buttons on USB playback, the normal pause/play/ff work.

Yes I know I can use the normal pause/play/ff controls, but if I have been watching a film, and I am 70 mins through it, it takes a long time to fast forward. Where as using the blue button remembers where you last where in the film. It just dosent seem to have it on this model which seems very strange.

Thanks.
